SF Terrence Hargrove (East St. Louis)
Hargrove will make the jump from being unranked to #4 overall in the state’s 2019 class. The reason is simply visibility. He played very limited minutes as a freshman and was not seen on the travel team circuit. Hargrove is a 6’5” uber athlete that dominates with his motor and athleticism around the hoop on both ends. Freak offensive rebounder with his second jump. Skill set is also really improving. High-major prospect.
SG Donovan Moore (Hillsboro)
Moore was outstanding in the fall. The Hillsboro 6’2” guard moved from not ranked to #15. He has a smooth offensive game which allows him to get where ever he wants on the floor. Great ball handler that scores at the cup with ease. Mid-major schools need to start monitoring him.
SF Jeremiah Hernandez (St. Viator)
Hernandez was another prospect that elevated their stock on the fall camp circuit. He impressed in multiple settings with his scoring ability at 6’4”. Slippery through traffic getting in the lane and can hit a pull up jumper. Potential on the defensive end. #55 to #19 in latest rankings. Low-major prospect.
SF Jeremiah Oden (St. Rita)
Oden is a long and lanky 6’6” combo forward that has great length and upside. Isn’t playing a ton for his high school team this year, but against players his own age in the fall he dominated with his athleticism and skill combo. Not ranked to #26. Potential low-major kid.
SG Christopher Burnell (Rockford East)
Burnell has a thick body with length and range. Broad shoulders on the well-built young guard. He has solid handles and can finish through contact at the rim. Could grow into a tough scorer as his career progresses. Chance to be a quality rebounder. Jumped into rankings at #27.
SG Marquis Kennedy (Crete Monee)
The 6’1” combo guard put on a show on both ends of the floor when we saw him at the Hinsdale Central Holiday Tournament. Thought his defensive intensity set the tone for his game and his team. Quick and angular guard that gets up in your face and doesn’t give the opponent much room to move. Had multiple steals that he turned into points on the other end. Good ball handler that attacked the rack. Also hit several threes. Makes debut at #28.
