PF Manny Patterson (Kenwood)
Patterson has had a very solid senior campaign. He is a 6’7” power forward with a physically mature body. What I have liked most is in the majority of games we have seen him he has played with a higher energy level and been more productive on both ends. Rebounding well, tough post D, and flashes post scoring. Moved from #25 to #22.
PF Taylor Bruninga (Illini Bluffs)
Bruninga only jumped from #36 to #34 in our rankings as we were fans of what he brought to the table in both the spring and summer with the Illinois Irish. His profile for fans across the state and college coaches has elevated. Bruninga is a 6’8” four man that can stretch the floor with plus shooting ability. During the high school season he has dominated small high school completion putting up just insane point and rebound numbers.
PF Malik Binns (Bolingbrook)
After a summer away from hoops where he was a bit forgotten from the recruiting radar he transferred to Bolingbrook for his senior season and has played great. Stands at 6’6” with a powerful build and a great motor. Outworks bigger post players and is a dominant rebounder. Most of points come in transition, on junk points, and offensive rebounds. Moved from #76 to #35.
PF Justin Brown (Marist)
Brown has been a major reason for the early season success of Marist. The senior has improved as a post passer along with what he already brings to the table. Brown is a solid low post scorer and a defensive threat blocking shots. Made the move from #75 to #58.
