“I’ve really been working,” Taylor said. “(I’ve) been working on being able to score and this year I’ve been doing well all-around. (I’m) averaging about 20 (points) a game. But some of my scoring contributes from good defense.”
Taylor says he and his teammates have gotten off to a really good start to the season.
“This season has been good,” Taylor stated. “Like I said, (I’m) averaging about 20 (points) a game. My work is finally starting to pay off. Gotta keep at it though. As a team, we are 5-0 right now. We are playing well right now.”
In the classroom at the high school, Taylor says he is a hard worker.
“Being at a private school has made me work hard to get the grades that I have gotten,” the player noted. “Overall this year, I only have two B’s and I am currently taking four AP classes. My only struggle is time management and learning how to do both basketball and school.”
Although he hasn’t received any direct offers or been shown much interest yet, Taylor says that more college coaches and programs should start to reach out because he gives his all.
“As far as catching the coaches’ eyes, I’m still developing,” Taylor added. “I’m getting better and better as the year goes if I have no injury. My shooting is consistent this year and I’m still trying to be even more consistent. My athleticism has increased and so has my overall fundamentals. But again, I can’t stop working on my craft and doing what I love.”
