PrepHoopsIllinois Player of the Week 11/28 – 12/4
Tons of awesome performances throughout the week. Here are you five nominees for the PrepHoopsIllinois Player of the Week! Make sure you vote for your favorite until voting closes on Wednesday night!
Zac Rzewnicki (Ridgewood)
Rzewnicki posted 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 steals in a win over Maine East on Tuesday. He followed that up with 29 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals Friday. Then on Sunday we saw him in person drop 28 points and 18 rebounds including the game winning half-court shot.
Jacob Pfeiffer (Springfield Lutheran)
Pfeiffer has 24 points, 18 rebounds, and 5 blocks against Routt Catholic. Pfeiffer is an under the radar big man with legit size and skill around the hoop. He will continue to post big numbers through his senior season.
Chris Harris (Lake Forest Academy)
Harris had 32 points on Wednesday against Libertyville. He then had 34 points along with 6 boards Friday when playing Case Western Reserve. Capped the week on Saturday by going for 30 points and 8 rebounds.
Teyvion Kirk (Joliet West)
Kirk was phenomenal against North Lawndale at the Chicago Elite Classic. He had 27 points (10-11 FG) and 8 rebounds. He completely controlled the game and the Drake commit proved he is one of the top lead guards in the state.
Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon)
Horton-Tucker was the man among boys on a floor full of D1 prospects against Gonzaga. The junior went off for 26 points (10-14 FG), 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. The versatile and skilled wing proved he was a high major recruit on the big stage helping his team defeat a national power.
