3:00 PM | CALVERT HALL VS. VIRGINIA ACADEMY
WATCH LIST
Calvert Hall: ’18 Brendan Adams (Pictured), ’18 Josh Cornish, ’20 Justin Lewis, ’20 Montez McNeil
VA Academy: ’17 Ejike Obinna (Vanderbilt), ’17 Jahlil Jenkins (FDU), ’17 Tadas Nausedas, ’19 Qudus Wahab
X-FACTOR
Guard play will ultimately determine the outcome of this contest, as it does in many games today at this level. Calvert Hall has two very talented juniors, Brendan Adams and Josh Cornish, who respectively have good size and can consistently hit shots from the perimeter. Virginia Academy’s lead guard, Jahlil Jenkins, is as tough a competitor as we’ve seen. Expect Jenkins to initiate the Patriots attack.
PREDICTION: Calvert Hall 73 Virginia Academy 68
5:00 PM | EPISCOPAL VS. TRINITY EPISCOPAL
WATCH LIST
EHS: ’17 George Mawanda-Kalema (Brown), ’18 Zach Pfaffenberger, ’19 Xavier Johnson
TES: ’17 Aaron Duhart (Army), ’17 Zach Jacobs (JMU), ’18 Jason Wade, ’19 Armando Bacot (Pictured)
X-FACTOR
Both teams have commendable talent in the back-court, but this game will most likely be won with strong interior play. Emerging 6’8 junior big man Zach Pfaffenberger was instrumental for the Maroon in their title run at “Sleepy60” a year ago. Trinity Episcopal features a formidable tandem in the front court in 6’7 James Madison commit Zach Jacobs and nationally touted 6’9 sophomore Armando Bacot.
PREDICTION: Trinity Episcopal 65 Episcopal 62

Good Counsel: ’18 Tyler Baylor, ’17 James Valle, ’17 Kyle Turner
SSSAS: ’17 Denmark Slay, ’18 Domenick Bailey, ’19 Christian Depollar
X-FACTOR
Denmark Slay is the unquestioned leader for St. Stephen’s St. Agnes. His impact on both ends of the floor is undeniable, and this team will most certainly go as he goes. Expect the competitive and tough lead guard to bring maximum effort.
PREDICTION: St. Stephen’s St. Agnes 55 Good Counsel 54

NCA: ’17 Terrance Lewis, ’17 Ed Oliver, ’17 Irwayne “JR” Connell, ’18 Malik Kennedy, ’19 Jimmy Kpadeh
X-FACTOR Both teams have impressive talent on the wing and in the post. Each team also features two sophomores who run the point in Tim Montgomery and Jimmy Kpadeh. It’s a safe bet to assume this contest will be deterimned by the lead guard matchup.
