Since our last update, our team of scouts has continued gathering new insights on this crop of players by keeping tabs on players throughout the last few months. This article will cover the top Stock Risers who leaped the most from the last Rankings update.
#1. Shane Douma-Sanchez Shane Douma-Sanchez 6'0" | PG Del Norte | 2023 State NM “Del Norte” Point Guard Class of 2023: The Del Norte Senior PG is the new #1 ranked player in the updated 2023 Rankings. Shane Douma-Sanchez Shane Douma-Sanchez 6'0" | PG Del Norte | 2023 State NM has been the top player in his Class for some time now and is State Champion for the Del Norte Knights. Very few in this State can score the way he can on the floor. Even after tearing his ACL over a year ago, that hasn’t stopped him from leading the State in scoring to start the season so far.
#3. Judah Casaus Judah Casaus 6'0" | SG Del Norte | 2023 State NM “ABC Prep” Shooting Guard Class of 2023: Judah Casaus Judah Casaus 6'0" | SG Del Norte | 2023 State NM has been very under appreciated for a few years now. Back in his sophomore year, he led Del Norte to their first Basketball State Championship in school history. During his junior year he posted career highs of 16.8 points per game 4.9 rebounds per game and 2.4 steals per game for Del Norte. Now as a Senior he’s joined ABC Prep on the Grind Session and has taken his game to another level with his improved shooting and playmaking.

Alexis Dominguez Alexis Dominguez 5'10" | PG Highlands | 2023 State NM “Highland” Point Guard Class of 2023: The reigning State Champion Alexis Dominguez Alexis Dominguez 5'10" | PG Highlands | 2023 State NM has been waking up a lot of people lately with his recent play. Throughout the off-season, he has become the main and primary scoring option for the Highland Hornets while still playing winning basketball. He has easily become one of the states top point guards and players overall.

Caileb Parham Caileb Parham 6'2" | SG Eldorado | 2023 State NM “Eldorado” Shooting Guard Class of 2023: Caileb Parham Caileb Parham 6'2" | SG Eldorado | 2023 State NM had a breakout season last year, and led the Eldorado Eagles to the State Tournament last year. His stock went up and carried into the off-season. Caileb Parham Caileb Parham 6'2" | SG Eldorado | 2023 State NM is an athletic scoring guard that plays above the air and is dangerous in transition. He is a very elite isolation and one on one player who can get whatever shot he wants on the floor.

Adam Montoya Adam Montoya 6'2" | PG St Michaels | 2023 State NM “St. Michaels” Shooting Guard Class of 2023: After leading the St. Michaels Horsemen to the 3A State Championship last year, its safe to say that their wasn’t 28 players better than Adam Montoya Adam Montoya 6'2" | PG St Michaels | 2023 State NM . Him and the Horsemen got hot at the right time last season. He displayed a lot of heart and leadership on top from his All-Around play. Adam Montoya Adam Montoya 6'2" | PG St Michaels | 2023 State NM is an exceptional scorer who is an underrated rebounder for a guard.

Jonah Lopez Jonah Lopez 6'2" | SG Rio Grande | 2023 State NM “Rio Grande” Shooting Guard Class of 2023: Rio Grande’s Jonah Lopez Jonah Lopez 6'2" | SG Rio Grande | 2023 State NM is one of the most special players in the 2023 Class. He is one of the states most underrated prospects because of the lack of success the Rio Grande Ravens have produced the last few years. From an individual standpoint, Jonah Lopez Jonah Lopez 6'2" | SG Rio Grande | 2023 State NM is one of the most versatile guards/wings you will find in the metro area. He can play multiple positions on both ends and isn’t one dimensional with his scoring. He posted averages of 17 points per game and 9 rebounds per game last season and will have increased production this year as a senior.
#17. Brandon Lagunas “West Mesa” Shooting Guard Class of 2023: Brandon Lagunas was the Mustangs best player last season while leading them to the 5A Boys State Playoffs. This will be another season where he is the teams best player and this time with increased odds at making a deep playoff run in the Spring. Brandon Lagunas is a seasoned varsity scorer who doesn’t need to be flashy to get buckets. He plays the game at his own pace and can hold his own with the best of them. Brandon is a silent assassin.
#18. Ezra Guest Ezra Guest 6'0" | SG Los Lunas | 2023 State NM “Los Lunas” Shooting Guard Class of 2023: One of the states most efficient scoring guards in New Mexico. Ezra Guest Ezra Guest 6'0" | SG Los Lunas | 2023 State NM takes very smart shots and plays the game at a nice speed. He has a solid mid-range game and can run the offense well for the Tigers. Ezra Guest Ezra Guest 6'0" | SG Los Lunas | 2023 State NM is a reliable playmaker on the floor.
#29. Nick Dial Nick Dial 6'4" | SF Manzano | 2023 State NM “Manzano” Forward Class of 2023: One of the most athletic slashers in the community and plays above the air. Nick Dial Nick Dial 6'4" | SF Manzano | 2023 State NM is very dangerous in the open floor and will get his share of dunks in transition each game. He is a highlight waiting to happen.
