Continue ReadingDuval, a 6-3 guard brings such a unique talent as he is amazed by his athleticism and ability to finish at the rim. Last season for Martin County, Duval averaged 18 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game. Duval can also add playmaking, shot creation and plays with an unselfish attitude. He currently holds offers from Bethune-Cookman, Cal State Bakersfield, Florida Gulf Coast and Georgia. He will be one of the top point guards in the state of Florida in the near future.
McNeal, a 6-3 combo guard is a three level scorer whether he’s finishing at the rim, shooting from the mid-range or from beyond the arc. Although, McNeal does his best work when he is attacking the basket and finishing with contact. Last season he averaged 14.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists helping lead Dwyer to the regional semifinals. Offensive rebounding seems to be an underrated feature in McNeal’s game despite his size and frame. Look for a big role this upcoming season for the 6-3 senior.
Branch comes from Tampa Catholic to Wharton during the off-season and will look to lead the Wildcats to a final four appearance for the second consecutive year. Branch, a 6-5 wing is a destined shot maker and a prolific playmaker. He has a great basketball IQ and plays with such a high motor and energy. Last season for Tampa Catholic, Branch averaged 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a junior. He is near the top at best players in the greater Tampa Bay area. Must watch this upcoming season.
Dean, a 6-5 combo guard is a dynamic scorer and can control the game at his own pace. He transferred to South Dade from Miami Southridge during the off-season. Last season as a junior, Dean averaged 21.1 points per game. Dean currently holds an offer from Bryant University.
Washington has sensational ball-handling skills and can also turn defense into offense real quickly. The 6-2 combo guard plays under control and with great pace. He can score in bunches and is one of the best skilled guards in the Central Florida area. He currently holds an offer from Stetson University after a great showing in their team camp over the summer.
