Nick Janowski Nick Janowski 6'3" | SG Pewaukee | 2024 State #126 Nation WI — CG — Pewaukee
If Pewaukee is to repeat as state champions, Janowski is going to have to play his best basketball. Luckily for Pewaukee supporters, the combo guard is normally pretty dang good. A lights out shooter from beyond the arc, Janowski puts incredible amounts of pressure on opposing defenses. Janowski isn’t just a shot-chucker, though. The combo guard is very efficient. The shots that he takes are good looks and they often find the bottom of the net. Janowski and Pewaukee take on Menomonee Falls on Wednesday night.
Tyran Cook Tyran Cook 6'1" | SG Waukesha South | 2023 State WI — SG — Waukesha South
Cook has become one of my favorite prospects to watch. On the offensive end of the court, the shooting guard is so dynamic. I often laud Cook for his ability to score around the rim, but he is much more than just a slasher. The Waukesha South standout is also a smooth scorer in the mid range. He does an excellent job of getting to his spots and scoring. Using his rare combination of speed, strength, and skill, Cook can get a bucket on anybody in the state.
Kai Rogers Kai Rogers 6'10" | C Wauwatosa West | 2025 State #41 Nation WI — C — Wauwatosa West
Highly touted doesn’t even begin to describe Rogers. The center has a chance to be one of the most talented recruits to come out of Wisconsin in recent years. The 6-foot-10 Wauwatosa West standout owns so much potential. Because of his size, Rogers is able to dominate games in the paint. He scores, grabs rebounds, and blocks shots. If Rogers can continue to improve his overall game, he is going to be a real problem. Wauwatosa West will host Waukesha South on Wednesday night.
Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson 6'2" | CG Waukesha South | 2023 State WI — PG — Waukesha South
Looking to repeat as champions in the Classic Eight, Waukesha South has high hopes for this season. Many of these high hopes rest on the shoulders of Robinson. The point guard is a true two-way prospect. He scores well on offense and can lock down top players on the other end. As a college prospect, Robinson certainly could help a team win at the next level. I suggest that college programs keep an eye on the PG.
Cole Hansen Cole Hansen 6'4" | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC — SG — Wauwatosa West
Coming off an excellent 30-point performance in a close loss to Verona on Saturday, Hansen will look to get his squad back on track on Wednesday. The shooting guard is a very talented scorer who can get buckets in a number of different ways. Still a long way to go in his high school career, look for Hansen to attract some college attention this winter.
Ty Fernholz Ty Fernholz 6'2" | SG Stoughton | 2024 State WI — PG — Stoughton
Coming off an impressive AAU season, Fernholz enters the 2022-23 season with a lot left to prove. The Stoughton point guard is a well-rounded prospect who can do it all on the offensive end of the court. He passes well, scores in many different ways, and always seems to make the right basketball play. Stoughton will visit Oregon on Wednesday night.
