Let’s recap by featuring some of the top individual performances from around the state on Tuesday night.
- Vanderbilt signee JaQualon Roberts JaQualon Roberts 6'8" | PF Bloomington North | 2023 State IN (Bloomington H.S. North 2023) finished with 31 points and 12 rebounds in the Cougars opening night 57-55 win over Bedford North Lawrence.
- Grady Carpenter Grady Carpenter 6'5" | PG Tipton | 2025 State IN (Tipton H.S. 2025) stuffed the stat sheet with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals, and 4 blocks in a 75-46 win over Tri-Central.
- Chase Bachelor Chase Bachelor 6'4" | SF Prairie Heights | 2023 State IN (Prairie Heights H.S. 2023) put up 25 points in a 47-33 win over Concord.
- Lucas Mitchell Lucas Mitchell 6'5" | SF Waldron | 2023 State IN (Waldron H.S. 2023) scored 47 points, the third highest total in school history, as Waldron moved to 2-0 on the young season with an 86-62 win over Crothersville. On Monday, Bryce Yarling Bryce Yarling 5'8" | PG Waldron | 2023 IN (Waldon H.S. 2023) eclipsed the 1,000 career point threshold.
- Oakland City commit Jaylen Mullen Jaylen Mullen 6'0" | PG North Daviess | 2023 State IN (North Daviess H.S. 2023) led the Cougars with 19 points in their 53-40 victory over Loogootee. Mullen also went over the 1,000 career point milestone. In the loss for the Lions, Peyton Bledsoe Peyton Bledsoe 6'4" | SF Loogootee | 2023 State IN (Loogootee H.S. 2023) scored 20 points.
- Ledger Gelfius (Hauser H.S. 2025) poured in 28 points to lead all scorers in a 73-33 win over Brown County.
- Valparaiso signee Zane Doughty Zane Doughty 6'8" | C Ben Davis | 2023 State IN (Ben Davis H.S. 2023) dominated around the basket in a 77-56 win over Fishers. The 6’9″ big man finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
- Evan Haywood (Brebeuf Jesuit 2024) led with 27 points and 8 rebounds while Reis Butcher Reis Butcher 6'4" | SF Brebeuf Jesuit | 2024 State IN (Brebeuf Jesuit 2024) added 21 points in a 75-58 win over Cardinal Ritter.
- Future Michigan State Spartan Xavier Booker Xavier Booker 6'11" | PF Cathedral | 2023 State #4 Nation IN (Cathedral H.S. 2023) went for 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks in an opening night 93-45 win over Fort Wayne North Side.
