(1). Prep Hoops Minnesota. Of course this website and the content from the various people that contribute to this website is a one stop shop. With at least four articles a day and the various types of rankings all over the place, Prep Hoops Minnesota aka Northstar Hoops Report, is on top of the list.
(2). Breakdown Yearly Basketball Preview. With a preview and information on every team in the state plus player lists, exclusive features, and so so so much more, the annual high school basketball preview is a must have for every night of high school hoops.
(3). Minnesota-Scores.Net The website I go to more than any other outside of who I work for, is Minnesota Scores. The schedules, the conference standings, the section standings, the QRF rankings, it’s a constant resource for me every single time I need some information.
(4). TC Hoops Czar Blog. Kevin aka The Czar is a must as he sees about 7-8 games a week in the metro area. And his detailed reports as well as his fun run down of concessions and the atmosphere, they are a must read.
(5). MN Basketball Hub. The Hub is another place to look for schedules as well as stats that are turned in to the paper by each team. Whenever I need a statistical resource player wise I look to the Hub.
(6). Twitter. Of course I got to twitter looking for information. Here are my go-to spots for information on games:
- @tchoopsczar
- @FreshCoastHoops
- @NorthstarHoops
- @nickledicklebb
- @NorthstarAlex
- @streethistory
- @AndOneFilms
- @JaredMartyMN
(7). MSHSL.com The state high school league site is a really good place for rosters. When it comes to rosters the state site is often the best place to go.
(8). Rochester Post Bulletin. No newspaper in the state of Minnesota does a better job of covering high school basketball in Minnesota than the Rochester Post Bulletin. They do a way better job than the biggest papers despite an obvious difference in resources.
(9). Max Preps. About five percent of the teams in Minnesota put their stats on Max Preps so I do go by there to check on some numbers for reference sake.
(10). Fresh Coast Hoops You Tube Page. Max does a wonderful job of putting condensed games on his You Tube page. You can see a lot of the game in only 10-12 minutes and he does a great job giving you exactly what you need if you couldn’t be in the gym to watch the game.
