Prep Hoops Preseason Predictions:
Strom Thurmond HS – The Rebels will be led by William Bush William Bush 6'0" | PG Strom Thurmond | 2023 State SC and Quan Edmond Quan Edmond 6'3" | SF Strom Thurmond | 2024 State SC this season.
Fox Creek HS – The Predators dropped down to Class 2A. Look for them to contend here in Region 3-AA this season under Head Coach Andrew Peckham.
Silver Bluff HS – The Bulldogs from Petticoat Junction will surprise some teams this season.
Batesburg-Leesville HS – The Panthers finished (12-14) last season.
Pelion HS – The Panthers struggled last year – things can only go up.
Bush will make a debut later this week in the new 2023 Palmetto State Rankings for sure. Willian played very well last month at the SCBCA Elite Camp down in North Charleston. Bush has a good demeanor on the floor and really sets the tone at times while on the court. Can the Rebels be the team standing at the end in Mid-February with the region championship?
Bush is the Prep Hoops Preseason Region Player of the Year.
Gaines is a very athletic stalker at times working the baseline. D’Amari excels in the transition game and getting out and filling the lane. Gaines can slash to the cup or stop and pop from the mid-range for a easy look. D’Amari will make the engine go for this Bulldogs squad this coming season.
Reynolds will debut you somewhere this coming week in the Prep Hoops 2023 Palmetto State Rankings. Malik has good length and the ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter. Reynolds and the Predators made a move down in Classification this season to Class 2A. Look for Malik to improve on his stats from a year ago.
Cannon showed some really good glimpses this summer on the Grassroots Circuit and with the Predators during team camp. Connor brings good versatility to the perimeter with his ability to handle the rock, slash to the cup, pass the ball to an open teammate or make a simple jumper. Cannon will be counted on this season to keep the Predators in contention when February comes around.
Edmond is a multi-sport athlete for the Rebels. Quan is currently playing Quarterback for the Rebels this season. Edmond is a strong kid who really can rebound the ball well from his position on the floor. Quan has a nice mid-range game to boot along with a quick set of hands in the passing lanes.
Brent Graham
Brent Graham
Graham is another piece to the Rebels roster to add some production this season. Brent is a blue-collar type of guy and does the little things to help you win games. Graham does his best work around the paint despite being a bit undersized. He surely plays bigger than his size on the floor.
