Prep Hoops Missouri continues its preseason previews with a look at the North Central Missouri Conference. It should be an excellent battle between Kirksville, Fulton and defending league champion Mexico for the top spot.
THE STARTING FIVE
(Kirksville): A 6’2″ 2023 point guard who earned First Team All-Conference honors last season. He is a slick ball handler with excellent perimeter shooting ability. As a junior, he averaged 16.1 points a game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 35 percent from 3-point range.
(Fulton): A 6’0″ 2023 point guard who was an All-Conference First Team selection last season. A four-year starter, he averaged 15.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists a game as a junior.
Keaton Anderson (Kirksville): A 6’2″ guard who returns after earning All-Conference First Team honors last season. As a junior, he averaged 15.9 points and 5.9 rebounds a game while making 34 3-pointers.
(Mexico): An electrifying 5’11” 2023 guard who returns after helping the Bulldogs to a 28-1 season and a berth in the Class 4 state quarterfinals. As a junior, he averaged 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.0 steals a game.
(Fulton): A 6’7″ 2023 forward who returns as the top inside player in the conference. At 230 pounds, he is a physical force around the basket with his combination of strength and athleticism.
