The 1st annual “Must See TV” College Prep showcase was everything the acronym stood for. High energy, Competition during the skill development and 5v5. The camp was full of young men taking advantage of an opportunity to build their personal brands before the start of the 2022-23 High school Season.
Guard-T.J Baker | 6’2 | Florida High
Get use to seeing this name more often! The class of 2024 Guard put on absolute show during the 5v5 portion of the showcase. With a great frame, Tree trunks for arms and unreal hands. TJ baker could be the next sleeper guard to explode in a already loaded 2024 class. He possesses one of the strongest bases I have seen in a guard. He has great balance and strength, with his much improved athleticism I seen another gear from him. Defensively he was a guard that played the mental game rather than gambling for costly fouls. I enjoyed being able to see him move without the ball to get open looks to show he can knock down the catch and shoot a 3. If he continues to work to improve his athleticism he could be one of the best guards in the Class of 2024 in the State.
Guard-Mahki Brown | 6’1 | R.F Munroe
Mahki brown took home the first ever “Mr.MSTV” award for being exactly that, Must See TV. The class of 2023 Lefty guard has arguably the best eyes in North Florida when it comes to passing the ball. With Great vision comes great risk and Mahki is a risk taker. On the offense end his first priority is to pass the ball. Any basketball guy would want to play with him because if you’re open the ball will come your way if your open. He took care of the ball pretty well but needs to understand when to keep it simple. On the Defensive end he was a pest on the ball and off. He played the passing lanes consistently with his great eyes and his improved athleticism playing football is paying off. He shot the 3 ball well which shows the work from the summer. expect a big year from him.
Wing/Forward-A.J Dent | 6’5 | Thomasville High (Ga)
The most impactful player in the entire camp and the “Best Kept Secret” award winner. He came in the gym unknown but by the time he left everyone in the gym and social media knew who he was. The class of 2023, 17 year old lefty has a V8 motor in his legs that does not stop. He approaches the game with a business mindset. Blocking shots on the defensive end consistently and playing above the rim on the offensive end all day. He is a Raw athlete with a solid IQ and feel for the game which makes him so impactful at the High School level. If he continues to improve on his skill, he will make a college coach happy.
Wing/Forward- Dakota Morris Dakota Morris 6'4" | CG Florida High | 2024 State FL | 6’5 | Florida High
Dakota wanted his peers to feel his presence every game. He stayed aggressive on the offensive end trying every-way possible to get downhill. Moving his feet and guarding multiple positions on the defensive end with high success. He rebounded the ball at a high level on the defensive end and stayed active on offensive glass with tip-ins and dunks. His ball handling has improved since the summer. It was on full display with him going full court after securing rebounds at times during the game. His shot did not fall the way he would have liked, watching film will help him understand how to chose his spots. You can see the work he has put into his body and I hope it will translate into him producing at a high level on both sides of the court.
Center/Forward- Kaleel Stillman Kaleel Stillman 6'10" | PF Orlando Christian Prep | 2023 FL | 6’10 | OCP
The 6’10 Big Man played above the rim and tried to break the rim every opportunity he had throughout the day. This was my first time actually getting a chance to see Kaleel multiple games. I left very impressed with the big man, he showed good footwork, and fluid hips giving him the ability to help defend the PnR and multiple positions on the floor. He can catch the ball in traffic and if he is 2-5ft around the rim he is trying to dunk it every-time. Really good athlete and if he can add a consistent left shoulder jump hook to his game he could take a big leap with added skill work.
