Fishers: vs Ben Davis (11/22)
James Stasey James Stasey 6'9" | C Fishers | 2023 State IN – 6’9 C 2023: Stasey is a the big man for this Fishers team and he showed me that he is incredibly smooth around the basket. Real soft touch around the rim and works well off the role. Real impressed with his ability finish with both hands. Had a tough battle with Doughty all night.
Parker Perdue Parker Perdue 6'3" | SF Fishers | 2024 State IN – 6’4 SF 2024: Perdue is a tough player that plays with a high motor. Really liked that he kept fighting for rebounds and his ability to work well off the ball. Chases his own rebound and can make plays in the open space. Underrated part of this Fishers team.
Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN – 6’6 PG 2025: Haralson was the star on the floor here and the elite guard started off real hot scoring 8 of Fishers’ 12 points in the 1Q. Attacked the rim hard, had 2 monster slams, and nailed a corner three. With how impressive Haralson is, he does play a little wild at times and makes the mistakes that young players often do like forcing a little too much. He finished with 16 points and was leading scorer for Fishers. Expect more big games like this from him.
Millen McCartney Millen McCartney 6'1" | PG Fishers | 2025 State IN – 6’1 PG 2025: For his age, McCartney is a real smart player. Had a nice sequence of back-to-back buckets and is a player that can knock down shots. Although not the biggest player, he did get a little scrappy around the rim battling for boards.
Ben Davis: vs Fishers (11/22)
Zane Doughty Zane Doughty 6'8" | C Ben Davis | 2023 State IN – 6’9 C 2023 – Valparaiso commit: The Valpo commit showed why he is one of the most dominant players in all the state last night. Was the leading scorer of all players with 23 points and was just so physically imposing on both ends for the Giants. Showed off his elite rim protecting skills and demanded the ball very often, which he always should. Just needs to be a little more consistent at the line.
Sheridan Sharp Sheridan Sharp 6'2" | PG Ben Davis | 2023 State IN – 6’2 PG 2023: I think at this point, it is safe to say that Sharp is one of the more overlooked players in the loaded 2023 class. Played real scrappy defense here and is a guy that can get a bucket in so many ways. Was not an overall high scoring game for him, but he found multiple ways to impact the game and set his teammates up nicely. Colleges at all levels needs to take a look at this guy soon.
Clay Butler Clay Butler 6'1" | PG Ben Davis | 2023 State IN – 5’11 PG 2023 – Lincoln University: Butler was the guy that really set the tone for Ben Davis early here scoring 12 points in the 1Q, with all those point come from behind the arc. Was real shifty tonight and his smaller size was not an issue at all. His decision making on the floor is an elite level and he really seems to be the glue of this team. He finished with 14 points.
Jesse Faires Jesse Faires 6'6" | PF Ben Davis | 2023 State IN – 6’7 PF 2023: I think Faires is going to be set to be one of the best bench players in the entire state this season. Did a fantastic job spelling Doughty and was real aggressive in the paint. Battles for boards and is crafty in transition. Also did a great job playing alongside Doughty at times as well. He finished with 4 points and 2 rebounds.
Shaun Arnold Shaun Arnold 6'5" | PF Ben Davis | 2023 State IN – 6’5 PF 2023: Arnold is one of the best “energy guys” in high school ball in the state. Got a quick bucket to start off the game and after that just played incredible defense throughout. He is the guy on this Ben Davis team that does all the little things and dirty work. He finished with 6 points and 2 steals.
Bloomfield: vs Mitchell (11/26 Gobbler Games):
Peter Combs Peter Combs 6'6" | PF Bloomfield | 2023 State IN – 6’6 PF 2023: Combs was easily the most impressive player on the floor in this game. For his size, his motor is outstanding and pairs it well with legit size and strength. Nobody on Mitchell was able to matchup with him physically and his major advantage of that. Showed his ability to stretch the floor but made his money around the basket and proved to be an excellent offensive rebounder. Small schools need to look into this guy.
Justin Beard – 5’9 SG 2023: Beard is a very short guard but can score in bunches. Had a nice sequence of back-to-back threes and proved to be scrappy on defense with a steal and score. Smart player that score in all three levels.
Blake Neill Blake Neill 6'4" | SG Bloomfield | 2026 State IN – 6’1 SG 2026: Neill, while only being a freshman, proved to be a major contributor for Bloomfield. He has a lanky frame at 6’1 and can knock down the outside jumper very well. Very smooth player overall and is a guy that can make a defense pay is left open.
Hank Skomp – 5’9 PG 2023: Skomp is a shorter lead guard and plays the floor general role very well. Has an athletic, fit build to him and is incredibly fast. Gets past his defender well and can be a playmaker at times.
Mitchell: vs Bloomfield (11/26 Gobbler Games):
Brendan Tolliver – 6’0 2023 PG:: Tolliver easily was Mitchell’s toughest player here. Did a lot of the dirty work for the Bluejackets like taking charger but is also a guy that can make a play through contact at the rim. Motor is always high and plays hard on both ends.
Kale England – 6’2 2024 PF: While maybe being a little undersize for his position, England has a lot of natural size and strength to him. Not the quickest player on the floor but his frame makes scoring at the rim on him tough. Had a big block that led to a Mitchell score and showed off a solid 15ft jumper. Maybe just needs to be a little more aggressive.
Austin Mosier – 6’0 2025 SG: Mosier, at least in the game, I felt was Mitchell’s best player. On the offensive end, he showed off a nice, consistent jumper and proved to be a great shooter with a smooth stroke. Can be scrappy defender at times and his motor I thought was always running high. Still has room to grow but he could be the leading scorer for Mitchell this season.
