By now you are familiar with the Inter-AC ballers we are talking about. Names like Alassane Amadou Alassane Amadou 6'9" | PF SCH Academy | 2023 State #188 Nation PA (Marquette), Mark Butler Mark Butler 5'10" | PG William Penn Charter | 2023 State PA (Lafayette), Camden Burns Camden Burns 6'0" | CG SCH Academy | 2024 State PA , Kevin McCarthy Kevin McCarthy 6'4" | SG Episcopal Academy | 2024 State PA , Andrew Phillips Andrew Phillips 6'3" | SF Malvern Prep | 2023 State PA , and Ryan Williams Ryan Williams 6'3" | SG Malvern Prep | 2024 State PA .
Running the court with those No. 1 options will be a group of prospects who are not household names yet, but they will contribute heavily for their varsity teams this winter and potentially play at the next level.
Today we want to highlight six of these Inter-AC athletes so this winter when someone asks you, “What’s His Name?” you will know the answer.
KJ Carson KJ Carson 6'0" | CG Haverford School | 2025 State PA – 6’0” / Sophomore / Haverford School / Penn Warriors / Combo Guard: Carson burst onto the recruiting scene at June’s MAIS Shootout with several double-digit scoring efforts. But Carson can do more than just score at all three levels. Using his elusive handles and feel for the game, Carson facilitates for teammates by drive and kick or drive and dish plays. He also rebounds well for a guard and is a tenacious on-ball defender. Carson is a 2025 to watch this winter.
Jaren Morton Jaren Morton 6'5" | SG SCH Academy | 2023 State PA – 6’5” / Senior / SCH Academy / SJ Hoops Elite / Shooting Guard: Morton can do it all on the basketball court. He possesses tremendous foot speed, athleticism and hops which means he is a transition phenom. In the half court he can score off dribble moves or splash threes. As a bonus, Morton is a bigger guard who can get to his spots by playing bully ball. With his quickness, size, and reach, Morton is an outstanding rebounder and can defend 1 through 4.
Hayden Pegg – 6’4” / Senior / Malvern Prep / 610 City / Wing: MP lost a significant amount of last year’s scoring punch to graduation. Thus Pegg, a returning starter, will be asked to increase his points production in 2022-23. Pegg has the athleticism (standout football player too), length and skills to be an outstanding third option. He owns a smooth shooting stroke with deep range. Plus, he can slash to the cup, catch a pass and finish with either hand. Pegg’s wingspan and nose for the ball make him a solid rebounder.
Bryce Rollerson Bryce Rollerson 5'11" | PG Germantown Academy | 2025 State PA – 5’11” / Sophomore / Germantown Academy / Eastern PA Elite / Point Guard: Last year Rollerson’s extraordinary court vision and willingness to play distributor quickly earned him a spot in GA’s senior filled starting five. In 2022-23 Rolllerson (7 ppg.) will be asked to play more of a scoring point guard role. That should not be a problem, as Rollerson is a three-level threat who can get buckets in transition and the half-court. Foes will learn this winter that Rollerson’s mid-range game is highly underrated.
Trey Shinholster Trey Shinholster 6'2" | SG William Penn Charter | 2023 State PA – 6’2″ / Senior / Penn Charter / K-Low Elite / Shooting Guard: PC’s roster is loaded with DI prospects, but they share the ball well. So, we expect Shinholster to use the momentum from a standout July to produce an extraordinary senior season. Shinholster is a high motor athlete who turns defense into offense. As a bonus, he can shoot the lights out and finish at the rim with both hands.
Keni Williams Keni Williams 6'2" | PG SCH Academy | 2025 PA – 6’2″ / Sophomore / SCH Academy / K-Low Elite / Point Guard: Coming off PC’s bench is this lefty guard who is a solid two-way player. On offense Williams is a speedy facilitator who can push the rock in transition. He can put points on the scoreboard with his jumper, which has range out to the three-point line. Or via drives to the rim. Despite his wiry frame, Williams can play through contact.
