Here’s a look at the 10 players who will are among the state’s best and make up our preseason All State 1st Team for Oklahoma’s two largest classifications.
Check back for the second team and honorable mentions this evening!
Oklahoma’s highest regarded national prospect, Castillo has experienced nearly unprecedented national and even international level success with two Gold Medals with Team USA. This season he’ll turn his sights to bringing team Gold back to Bartlesville with his Bruins teammates. High profile college coaches will be regular visitors to northern Oklahoma to watch Castillo, and now as a junior he’ll need to find the right balance of making his teammates better while also producing as a scorer.
Last season was Bakers’ first year in the OSSAA after previously being homeschooled. It took him little time to make his mark as one of the most complete scorers in Oklahoma. He even made it onto Sportscenter with a 3/4ths court shot to force overtime. This year, he’ll be looking to get the Panthers back in the State Tournament, where they have been regulars for the last half decade. Including a title in 2018 and a title game appearance in 2019.
England made a big splash last season with a 15.2 point per game average for the Class 5A Semifinalist Titans. What’s impressive is that he had big shoes to fill as he stepped into a starring role for the tradition rich Titans, who graduated many of their top contributors from their 2021 Class 5A State Championship team. Now with England firmly entrenched as the leader of a talented Titan team, he’ll be looking to navigate them past a tough Class 5A field, which includes Mid-Del districts rivals Del City, for another Gold Ball.
Last season no player made more improvement thanBarrett the start of the season in November than March. He took the reins as point guard for the young Huskies last season, grew into the role and helped them claim the Class 6A Gold Ball.
What’s scary is he still has more room to grow. Especially physically, as his physical profile is starting to be reminiscent of another athletic Edmond guard from year’s past. Josh Richardson, who is currently in his 8th year in the NBA.
The Notre Dame signee has long laid claim as one of, if not simply the best shooter in Oklahoma. He’s put up strong scoring numbers since his freshman season for the Spartans and last year averaged almost 30 points per game. What’s impressive is that he’s not just a long range bomber, he has a slippery off the bounce game that allows him to dice up opposing defenses that overplay him.

One of the most complete guards in Oklahoma, Tramble will always hit big shots. Especially from beyond the arc, but he’s more than just an efficient scorer. He’s a complete lead guard thanks to his cerebral approach as a creator for his teammates and smart defending. He brings big game experience to Putnam City West after a run to the Class 6A State Title game with Moore last season.
Another player who made the jump from home school ball to OSSAA last season, Ingram is one of the most exciting players in the state. His high motor playing style makes him a terror in transition and finishing above the rim. After being a 6th man last season, Ingram is stepping into a staring role and looks ready to be an efficient scorer from the midrange. Which pairs well with his pedal to the metal playing style in transition and when rebounding.

While there are a lot of talented players on this list, Dylan Warlick Dylan Warlick 6’6″ | SF Edmond North | 2024 State #226 Nation OK was arguably the most dominant force in Oklahoma last season. Around the rim, he was nearly impossible to stop with his strong fame, impeccable footwork and outstanding touch. Not to mention he gobbled up seemingly every rebound. “Wolverine” was a walking “20 and 10” double double every-night for the Huskies and this season will add more skill to his blue collar style as one of the state’s best.

This time last year, Dow was a lanky shooter with “deceptive athleticism”. Now he’s signed with Oklahoma State, seasoned from a spring and summer battling the nation’s best and looks ready to help the Tigers be a State Title contender in 6A. He’s still a pure shooter, but with increases to his strength and confidence, Dow is one of the most complete players in the state. The future Cowboy was a terror during scrimmages this past month.
An absolute game changer on the court, Garrison makes the paint a no fly zone with his shot blocking and altering abilities. Another future Oklahoma State Cowboy, the physical Garrison helped Del City claim the 6A Class State Title as a sophomore. Then last year, he guided the Eagles to the Class 5A State Title Game, but foul trouble hampered him in their loss. Look for the big man to be on a mission come March.
