The Cyclones are coached by Jerome Nesheim who is a highly respected coach across South Dakota, a legend in those parts, and one of the best in the business! The Cyclones have a talented squad and they will pick up many wins this season. The problem is, Region 2 has some tough talent to get through with teams like Sioux Valley, Hamlin, and Deuel. Keep tabs on the Cyclones this season, they will be successful and they will have a fun team to watch. Clark/Willow Lake will have their sights set on getting back to the SoDak 16 game. If they can get there, anything can happen and you might see the Cyclones in the State Tournament. See below for more information on the Cyclones!
2021-2022 Cyclone Season
Clark/Willow Lake had a very nice season finishing 15-8. They lost a close game to Flandreau in SoDak 16 play. Some Cyclone highlights from last year were winning the Northeast Conference for the 9th time in 10 years. They beat the State B Runner-up Lower Brule, and the Cyclones had DeSmet on the ropes until the last 7 seconds. They also beat State qualifier Groton as well! Clark/Willow Lake was one game away from the State Tournament last year, can they make it this year?
Off-Season
The Cyclones had an excellent offseason and they grew/improved as a team. They played very well at the team camps they attended. They played exceptionally at the University of Kansas camp. Seeing that type of success should help the Cyclones early this season.
Top Players
-He is coming off a big junior season and you should expect Felberg to be even more productive this year. Kaplan averaged 10.2 ppg and 6.5 rpg. Felberg is a talented player that can score in a variety ways.
-He averged 10.1 ppg, 3 rpg, and 3 apg last year. Huber is a 4-year starter for the Cyclones. Trey is a tremendous defender and he creates offensive problems with his quickness. Huber could be described as a lockdown defender and an opportunistic scorer. Look for Trey to be guarding the opposing teams best player on a nightly basis.
-He averaged 9.4 ppg, 3.9 rpg, and 3.1 asp last season. Brady is another 4-year starter. He can take over a game when he gets going. Jordan seems like a smart and clever player. He is a playmaker at the PG spot that can put up points, make others better, and he does the little things to put his team into a winning situation.

Coach Nesheim comments on the Cyclone style of play and the top teams in Region 2
“We will look to push the tempo of the game. We don’t have the size to play teams half court vs half court.”
“Hamlin, and Sioux Valley. They both return a lot of players that will impact the game.”
