25. There’s a good chance that Jalen is still growing. Grandfather was 7”0. Jalen has added a lot of muscle in the last year growing into his body. Dominate presence in the paint. Can clear out space to rebound or score. Very hard to stop once he gains position. Huge upside.
24. Played major minutes as a freshman. Started games as well. On a team with a lot of talented scorers, he was relied upon to run the show and did an outstanding job. Has the ability to run the offense and at the same time find the spots to score the ball. Excellent court vision. A strong ball handler. As the season went on and he became more comfortable he improved his three point shooting which is another weapon to an already talented arsenal.
23. Excellent footwork. Fundamentally sound big man. He can score inside with up and under, drop step or jump hooks over either shoulder. Also can create scoring chances with his ability to score with either hand and foot work. Can step out and consistently knock down the 15 footer. Outstanding in traffic rebounder.
Highlights
22. AJ was very impressive at the events I saw him at this summer. Versatile player. Creative scorer off the bounce. Can take take his man off the dribble stop on a dime and drill the three or the pull up jumper. Strong to the basket. Has good length. Really good in transition and has an added bonus of being able to rebound the ball start and/or finish the break.
21. Another Freshman last year who was handed the keys to drive the car for the Ravens. He excelled. One of my favorite players from last season. Extremely smooth ball handler and passers. Looks like a pass first point guard who has the ability and skill set to take over the game. Good on the ball defender turning the opponent in critical situations. Excellent shooter off the kick out. But can get his own shot off as well.
20. We didn’t see everything Elijah could do because of an injury last season so be prepared to be impressed. A terrific stroke on a big body. He can handle the ball well. He is a versatile new age big. Already holds several offers.
