Peter Albert – 2023 – PG – Eau Claire Memorial
Going up against a lot of 1-3-1 zone, Albert made a ton of great plays for the Old Abes. The senior guard tallied 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including 5-of-12 from 3-point range. Albert also dished out three assists on Friday. Getting the zone moving with ball fakes, Albert was able to manipulate the defense and get them scrambling. That often opened up his own shot, where he was able to cash in from the outside.
Christo Giannopoulos – 2023 – PG – Oshkosh North
The game was dominated by Stevie Clark Stevie Clark 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2024 State #322 Nation WI and Xzavion Mitchell Xzavion Mitchell 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2025 State #119 Nation WI , but Giannopoulos was a solid third option and playmaker against Eau Claire Memorial. With the opposition so focused on others, Giannopoulos caught the defense by surprise a few times. The senior guard contributed seven points (3-5) and two assists. He also had a steal that led to a transition run-out. The Spartans appeared to be pretty bought in and know how they have to win — feed Clark and Mitchell early and often. Giannopoulos did a great job of not only getting the star duo the ball in favorable positions, but constantly moving without the basketball, not always allowing his defender to just sit in gaps. One of those prospects that may not stuff a stat sheet, but Giannopoulos is an integral piece to the puzzle and makes Clark’s and Mitchell’s jobs easier.
Cohen Priebe Cohen Priebe 6'0" | PG D.C. Everest | 2025 State WI – 2025 – PG – D.C. Everest
If D.C. Everest has a successful season, Priebe will be a big reason why. While he plays alongside UW-Green Bay commit Marcus Hall Marcus Hall 6'5" | SF D.C. Everest | 2023 State WI , it’s very easy to notice Priebe, who’s often the straw that stirs the drink. A high-IQ floor general that makes great decisions with the basketball, if the Evergreens score offensively, Priebe usually has a hand in it. Priebe constantly gets the ball moving, probes into high percentage areas, and knocks down his open 3’s.
Mason Stoik Mason Stoik 6'3" | SG Eau Claire Memorial | 2023 State WI – 2023 – SG – Eau Claire Memorial
The Old Abes lost a lot from last season, but appear to have reloaded better than people think. One of those returning players is Stoik, who had a very impressive performance against Oshkosh North. The senior guard scored a team-high 20 points and allowed Eau Claire Memorial to just hang around for most of the game with his timely shooting. Stoik has really nice positional size at 6-foot-4 and does a great job of getting defenders off their feet when they over-commit on closeouts.
Sabion Wilder Sabion Wilder 6'1" | SG Kingdom Prep Lutheran | 2024 State WI – 2024 – G – Kingdom Prep
Wilder had 21 points in a loss to D.C. Everest. Kingdom Prep was very reliant on the 3-point shot early, but it was Wilder who started getting high percentage looks at the rim. Wilder set up the dribble-drive to his right really well, whether it was a hesitation or rejecting a ball screen. Wilder got this looks early in possessions to, bringing the ball up the floor and taking advantage of a defense that wasn’t set yet. Not overly big or imposing from the guard spot, but knows how to finish off-balance and against contact.
