Swinney is up to No. 24 in the latest rankings update as he’s off to a hot start in the Freedom Christian Academy backcourt at the lead guard spot. He’s posting 23.3 ppg, 4.7 apg, 1.3 rpg and 1.3 spg through the first four games into his sophomore season. He’s a speedy guard that puts a ton of pressure on opponents with his ability to score in a variety of ways.
Frey moves into the No. 30 spot following a productive season in the Apex High backcourt in 2021-22. He’s due for a strong season as he grows into a bigger role in the rotation in his sophomore season. He’s got solid instincts as a scoring threat and rebounder on the floor after producing 11.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.5 apg and 1.2 spg this past year.
Mwanda is a name to get to know at Heritage High at the No. 32 spot in the latest rankings update. He’s a guard with a high IQ for making play for others and knocking down shots with range on the perimeter. As he grows into his body and feels things out over the next few things, look for him to emerge as a name to know by college coaches. Radford has offered him.
Thomas is an emerging name to know at Wayne Prep at No. 34 in the latest rankings update. He’s an active prospect on both ends of the floor that looks to find ways to make his presence felt whether as a scorer, rebounder or defender. He’s an all-around prospect already at 6-foot-1 that’s one of the leaders in his team’s rotation to keep eyes on in the 2025 class.
Highlights
Santos is a big man prospect at Raleigh Christian Academy that’s finding his way as an inside-out presence in the rotation. He’s a 6-foot-9 prospect in the 2025 class that’s due to make quite the impact with his ability to protect the rim and be a paint presence. As his shooting stroke comes along, look for colleges to start gaining interest in what he can do.
