Crotty is yet another prospect in NC’s 2024 class that’s seen his stock rise quite a bit this past grassroots cycle with offers from UC-San Diego and Presbyterian headed into his junior season at Holly Springs High. He debuts in the latest rankings update at No. 33 in the state and the No. 3 shooting guard in the class. He’s got a ton of confidence to go along with his range on the perimeter as he enters 2022-23 with a potential break out on the horizon. College coaches of all levels will want to get eyes on him this season.
Highlights
Uwayo is a prospect at Panther Creek High that’s ready to turn a corner in the backcourt in 2022-23. He’s capable of operating with and without the ball in his hands already with his skill set and has emerged as quite the perimeter threat this fall. He stepped up in a big way with their top point guard Amari Odom Amari Odom 6’3″ | CG Panther Creek | 2023 State NC out with injury in last year’s state playoffs. With that experience under his belt and his latest development, he debuts at No. 36 in the latest rankings update in the 2024 class.
Evans is another prospect that colleges of all levels should get eyes on right away over at Greenfield School this season. He enters the 2024 rankings No. 47 in the class following a strong sophomore campaign for the Knights. He’s a versatile 6-foot-5 forward that plays with a ton of energy and physicality in the paint. He’ll be a relentless option down low for the Knights to rely on this season and even has the ability to stretch the floor with his jump shot.
Peters enters the 2024 ranks at the No. 39 position following a stint at Jordan High. He produced 12.1 ppg, 12.0 rpg, 1.6 bpg and 1.4 apg in 2021-22 with the Falcons. He’ll look to build upon his development as a bruiser and rebounder in the paint by joining the Trinity Academy Raleigh rotation this fall. He’s a dual-threat forward that likes to establish himself down low and make things happen on the perimeter with his ability to handle the ball and make things happen off the bounce.
Thomas-Johnson is an intriguing prospect in NC’s 2024 class to get to know over at Christ School. He’s a 6-foot-4 prospect that’s shown he can operate off the ball on the wing with his ability to attack cutting lanes for buckets and space the floor with his shooting ability. He’s an under-the-radar prospect to keep an eye on out West this season for the Greenies debuting at No. 51 in the latest rankings update.
