Bell isn’t necessarily new to the state of North Carolina but he’s a new addition in the 2024 rankings, checking in at No. 17 in the latest update. He’s sported an improved strength/body that’s allowed him to be quite the two-way threat on the hardwood. He makes things happen with the ball in his hands as a shooter and driver. He’s another prospect with NC Good Better Best Academy due for a strong season in 2022-23.
His summer in 2022 was cut short due to injury but Morton is back in the 2024 class at the No. 19 spot looking to inject his winning ways from Weddington High into the United Faith Christian Academy rotation. He put up 11.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 3.4 apg and 1.9 spg in 2021-22 in the backcourt at Weddington High. They’re a well-coached group that always makes a deep run in the NCISAA Playoffs. With Morton in the backcourt, they’re certainly geared up to do so once again this season.
Harding is another new face in the Combine Academy rotation to keep eyes on. He’ll give them a sizeable prospect in the frontcourt that can operate as a finisher around the rim, rim protector and perimeter presence with his length at 6-foot-9. He was a standout this past grassroots season with Team Charlotte on the UAA scene. He’s an under-the-radar name in the state at No. 26 in the rankings.
Soulis joins the Asheville School rotation as a new addition in the 2024 class in the state at No. 30. At 6-foot-10, he’s a matchup nightmare in the making. He’s got good instincts as a shot blocker and rebounder defensively and does well to find the ball in space as a pick-and-roll/pop option with his mobility. He’s an intriguing name to know out West in the 2024 class.
Highlights
Butler is quite the intriguing prospect at Grace Christian School emerging at the No. 40 in the latest rankings update. He’s a strong-framed 6-foot-5 prospect that can operate with and without the ball in his hands with an ability to knock down shots on the perimeter at volume. He was a standout at this past Fab40 ENC event in Fayetteville and had quite a productive summer on the grassroots scene with Strong Center as well.
