Ashe Oglesby Ashe Oglesby 6'6" | PF The Prairie School | 2023 State WI — PF — The Prairie School
I was really impressed by the numbers that Oglesby was able to put up last season. As a junior, the power forward was able to fill up the stat sheet. He tallied 18.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game. Now, with another solid summer under his belt, I am looking for Oglesby to become even more impactful. Even though he owns a big, strong build, Oglesby can complete some guard-like plays. He scores well off the dribble and can drain some difficult jumpers. Look for Oglesby to have a sensational senior season.
Demerius Shakur Demerius Shakur 6'2" | CG Martin Luther | 2023 State WI — PG — Martin Luther
Shakur is a prospect that I have liked for a long time now. The Martin Luther point guard is just so solid everywhere. He might not be the flashiest prospect, but it seems like the point guard always gets the job done. He just has a knack for running an offense. The PG plays with a lot of intelligence. He passes well and does a nice job of scoring when the opportunity presents itself. I am excited to Shakur compete this year.
Jalen Haynes Jalen Haynes 6'3" | SG Martin Luther | 2023 State WI — SG — Martin Luther
I wouldn’t be surprised if Haynes emerges as a sleeper prospect in Wisconsin’s 2023 class. When Haynes is rolling, he is super fun to watch. The shooting guard scores well in isolation and is capable of converting on some difficult shots. I love the confidence that Haynes plays with on the court. When the SG has the ball in his hands, there isn’t a shot that he doesn’t think he can make. Keep an eye out for Haynes — he could put up some impressive scoring numbers.
Amari McCottry Amari McCottry 6'5" | SF St. Thomas More | 2024 State #304 Nation WI — SF — Saint Thomas More
I absolutely love McCottry’s game. The small forward stands at 6-foot-5 and has the athleticism to match his frame. In transition, McCottry is a player that defenders hate to see. He does a phenomenal job of using his combination of skill, speed, and athletic ability to get layups. If McCottry can continue to develop and improve his game, there are going to be a number of top college programs showing interest. Expect McCottry to lead Saint Thomas More to an excellent season.
Aaron Womack Aaron Womack 6'3" | SF Dominican | 2025 State #228 Nation WI — SF — Dominican
Already recognized as one of the best prospects in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, Womack is heading into the upcoming high school campaign with a lot of momentum. The 6-foot-6 small forward possesses skills that college coaches look for. He can knock down outside shots, lockdown on defense, and has also shown promise as a passer. There aren’t many players in the state that have more upside than Womack.
Sekou Konneh Sekou Konneh 6'6" | SF St. Thomas More | 2024 State WI — PF — Saint Thomas More
I really like the potential that Konneh owns. Physically, the power forward checks all the boxes. He has great positional size, can jump out of the gym, and has the prototypical lanky build that has become very common at the college level. If Konneh can continue to develop his skills, he is going to become an incredible player.
