Emmett Lawton Emmett Lawton 6'2" | SG Notre Dame Academy | 2023 State WI – Shooting Guard – Notre Dame
Arguably no player in the state boosted his stock more over the summer than Lawton, who now holds a few Division 2 scholarship offers. The 6-foot-3 sniper shot the ball at an unbelievable level at times and got the better of some Division 1 prospects in head-to-head matchups. Lawton plays with a noticeable edge and when he gets going, is really tough to get out of rhythm. Also a sneaky athlete who plays well in transition and has a little dog in him defensively, Lawton is going to build on that 14 ppg average from his junior season and keep Notre Dame towards the top of the Fox River Classic.
Highlights
Braden Mcglothlin Braden Mcglothlin 6'0" | PG Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI – Point Guard – Catholic Memorial
McGlothlin has always been better than what his stat line has suggested. Even still, McGlothlin posted 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists per game for a 16-10 Catholic Memorial squad in 2021-22. A high-IQ floor general that makes everyone around him better, McGlothlin doesn’t need to score to be effective, but definitely can take over games that way. The Indianapolis commit will lead a senior-laden lineup in what could be a special season for the Crusaders.
Highlights
Seth Miron Seth Miron 6'4" | SF Kimberly | 2023 State WI – Wing – Kimberly
The Papermakers are reloading and building around Miron this season. That being said, the senior might have the green light whenever he wants it. The 6-foot-5 wing already broke out to some extent, averaging 12 points per game next to two scholarship prospects, including Jackson Pavaletzke, now at Wofford. Miron can shoot it from anywhere on the floor, create matchup problems with versatility, and has gotten a lot more confident with his ability to slash and attack defenders at the rim. Think this would be a really good pickup in the WIAC, if he ops to play hoops, and potentially a sneaky get for a Division 2 program.
Jamiir Allen Jamiir Allen 6'0" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State WI – Combo Guard – Wisconsin Lutheran
Allen had one of the better junior seasons that people weren’t talking about in 2021-22. Next to Kon II Knueppel Kon II Knueppel 6'6" | SG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2024 State #15 Nation WI , Allen averaged 14 points and three assists per game. Allen is arguably the best scoring and facilitating creator for the Vikings. A smooth and deceptively explosive ball handler, Allen can get to the rim with ease in isolation situations and counter with a sweet pull-up game. If Wisconsin Lutheran breaks through to the state tournament. the 6-foot guard is going to be a huge reason why.
Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson 6'2" | CG Waukesha South | 2023 State WI – Combo Guard – Waukesha South
Looking to repeat in the Classic Eight, Robinson is going to form a deadly combination with Tyran Cook Tyran Cook 6'1" | SG Waukesha South | 2023 State WI . A strong, athletic guard, Robinson can get to the rim and finish through contact. He’s steadily improved his outside shot, particularly off the bounce and when that’s going, Robinson can be tough to handle. Also a plus defender that takes pride in generating stops and brings intensity to the floor, Robinson averaged 13 points and three assists per game for a 22-5 ball club.
Tyson Keil Tyson Keil 6'6" | PF Appleton East | 2023 State WI – Forward – Appleton East
With the Patriots reloading a bit, expect Keil to see a jump in his numbers. He won’t catch the Fox Valley Association by surprise, however, Keil was an interior force all season and one of the biggest unsung heroes in the state with his ability to protect the rim, rebound, and set a physical tone. The Winona State commit, who averaged 5.4 points per game as a junior, is one of the better jumpers in this class.
Mauryon Turner Mauryon Turner 5'11" | SG Milwaukee King | 2023 State WI – Shooting Guard – Milwaukee King
Really like the scoring package and upside of Turner. As a junior, Turner averaged 12 points per game, but had a lot of moments where he could take over a game offensively. A plus-length, athletic three-level scorer, Turner was a first-team selection in the Milwaukee City last season. At 6-foot-4, Turner has excellent positional size and the tools to be a very dangerous and effective shot creator.
Qi’andre Washington Qi’andre Washington 6'1" | PG Kingdom Prep | 2023 State WI – Point Guard – Kingdom Prep
Washington had a strong spring and summer and is steadily developing into one of the better point guards in this 2023 class. The 5-foot-10 senior has a very strong body, is quick on the ball, and loves to finish physically at the rim. The way Washington is able to play low to the ground makes him very tough to stay in front of. Washington likes the defensive end of the floor as well and can really fluster opponents at times without fouling. As a junior, Washington averaged around 11 points per game. Kingdom Prep gets a lot back from last season, but wouldn’t be surprised to Washington really increase his numbers.
Riley Yonker Riley Yonker 6'2" | SG Menasha | 2023 State WI – Wing – Menasha
Menasha loses its top two scorers and will rely heavily on Yonker in 2022-23. As a junior, Yonker averaged nine points and four rebounds per game. A swiss army knife that can do a little bit of everything on the floor, Yonker packs the stat sheet as a 6-foot-2 wing that plays bigger than his size. Yonker is a smooth catch and shoot presence, but can also play inside-out and invert himself in the offense. Throughout the summer, Yonker showed he can be a feature option in an offense.
Kaine Fort Kaine Fort 6'9" | PF Peshtigo | 2023 State WI – Power Forward – Peshtigo
Quality post prospects aren’t always easy to find at the Division 3 level. You don’t see many like Fort who are both skilled and put together physically. A mobile, 6-foot-9 forward, Fort has terrific hands in traffic, understands post position, and can score 1-on-1 with his back to the basket. During his junior season, Fort averaged 11 points and eight rebounds per game. Not ranked overly high in this class as of now, but Fort has a lot more value to a college program than what the number next to his name might suggest.
