Sekou Konneh Sekou Konneh 6'6" | SF St. Thomas More | 2024 State WI – Small Forward – St. Thomas More
Konneh is going to drastically increase his numbers as a sophomore when he averaged 13 points and seven rebounds per game for a 25-4 St. Thomas More squad that reached the state semifinals. An athletic freak whose skillset is catching up to his measurables, the 6-foot-7 forward has arguably the biggest upside in this class. Konneh is a freight train in transition, but also has a scary good mid-range and fall away game in the post. Milwaukee is on board with an offer for Konneh, who shot 56.2 percent from the floor last season.
Jack Daugherty Jack Daugherty 6'8" | PF Brookfield Central | 2024 State #311 Nation WI – Forward – Brookfield Central
With the Lancers entering somewhat of a rebuilding year, it’ll be up to Daugherty to carry this program forward. One of those prospects that just gets better and better each time you see him, Daugherty averaged 13 points and seven rebounds per game as a sophomore, helping Central achieve a 24-6 record and an appearance in the state title game. A mismatch nightmare at 6-foot-8, Daugherty’s perimeter skills for his size are going to give a lot of teams headaches this winter.
Cole Hansen Cole Hansen 6'4" | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC – Shooting Guard – Wauwatosa West
Hansen has done some big things in fall league action and is one of the leaders for a Tosa West squad that will reload with three Division 1 prospects. As a sophomore, Hansen averaged 13 points while shooting 47.0 percent from the two-guard spot. A natural scorer with instincts you can’t teach, Hansen can put the ball in the hole in a variety of ways.
Keaton Frisch Keaton Frisch 6'7" | SF Waunakee | 2024 State WI – Forward – Waunakee
The Warriors are going to have one of their rare young lineups in 2022-23. Frisch showed a lot of flashes on the AAU circuit and he’s still just getting started. An intriguing 6-foot-7 combo forward with length and leaping ability, Frisch has game-changing ability as a transition scorer and shot blocker. He’s also got some mismatch nightmare potential as someone who can play inside-out or size up defenders on the perimeter and go to work and/or stretch the floor from 3-point range. Frisch averaged 5.4 points per game as a sophomore, but appears on track to be the No. 1 option for Waunakee this season.
Will Murray Will Murray 6'7" | SF Darlington | 2024 State WI – Forward – Darlington
Murray gave his team a lot of great minutes as a role player over the summer and think some of this new confidence will carry over into the high school. The 6-foot-5 forward is the leading returning scorer for Darlington after averaging 11.4 points per game as a sophomore. Murray shot 50.4 percent from the floor as well. A good blend of skill and a blue collar mentality, Murray can impact a game in a lot of ways and has versatility on both ends of the floor.
Highlights
Theo Schofield Theo Schofield 6'5" | PF Waterloo | 2024 State WI – Forward – Sun Prairie East
With the East-West split at Sun Prairie, Schofield will get the keys to the car for East. Scholfield averaged 5.1 points per game as a sophomore for an 18-win ball club, but had some dominant moments on the AAU circuit. A big, strong, athletic, and physical combo forward, Schofield is a difficult matchup, especially when he plays with a motor. Able to score inside-out, attack the offensive glass, and even bring the ball up the floor, there are a lot of intriguing parts to Schofield’s game.
Brady Corso Brady Corso 6'2" | SG Neenah | 2024 State WI – Guard – Neenah
Corso gave the defending state champs about 10 points per game during his sophomore season. Stepping in for the injured Cal Klesmit Cal Klesmit 6'2" | CG Neenah | 2023 State #235 Nation WI , there’s a case to be made Neenah doesn’t win the gold ball without him. A dangerous 3-point shooter with sneaky athletic ability, Corso made 61 3-pointers and shot 46 percent from downtown. Defenders have to stay glued to Corso, but a strong, tough guard, he can counter against the over-play and attack the rim.
Joey LaChapell Joey LaChapell 5'10" | PG Appleton East | 2024 State WI – Point Guard – Appleton East
LaChapell was probably one of the most undervalued players in the state last season. On a very veteran ball club, LaChappel showed he could be the straw that stirred the drink at times and put the Patriots over the top in a few games. During his sophomore season, LaChappel averaged 10.4 points on 52.6 percent shooting and dished out 3.3 assists per game. What stood out most? LaChappel would often guard the other team’s best player and did a phenomenal job while doing so.
Sawyer Schipper Sawyer Schipper 6'1" | SG Stoughton | 2024 State WI – Shooting Guard – Stoughton
Look for Schipper to be a reliable No. 2 next to Ty Fernholz Ty Fernholz 6'2" | SG Stoughton | 2024 State WI in 2022-23. As a sophomore, Schipper averaged a quiet 11.5 points per game. A prospect that doesn’t command a lot of attention with his play style, Schipper is efficient, does the right things on the floor, and gets it done on both ends.
Rex Lamb Rex Lamb 6'2" | SF Edgewood | 2024 State WI – Wing – Madison Edgewood
Really liked what I saw from Lamb in some fall league action and think he’s one of the best-kept secrets in the Madison area right now. Lamb played a small role for the Crusaders last season, averaging 1.7 points per game, but looks like their go-to scorer in 2022-23 — if fall was any indication. A strong, athletic downhill slasher, Lamb can handle the ball and change directions on the ball very well for his size. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, but plays a lot bigger as well.
