These guys may not have cracked the top 50 players in their class, but they are some of the most consistent shooters in the 2024 class. Whether it is spacing the floor and keeping defenses honest, hitting clutch shots, or drilling the three ball in transition, these players have the green light when they are on the floor.
I’ve seen Grose play in a number of different environments, teams, and situations, every time he brings the same steady jumper. From showcases, to AAU, to crunch time situations with his high school squad, Grose is a steady shooter with laser focus that provides quality shooting in any role.
White is the tallest player on our list of shooters, clocking in at 6’4. He’s broad too and doesn’t look like your typical shooter. But White has a smooth stroke from long range and that thick frame gives him plenty of strength to shoot a consistent and high volume of shots.
Stempniak is one of my favorite shooters here because of his ability to hit clutch shots. He can shoot through tight contests and it’s partly because he is always ready to shoot. His feet and hands stay ready, and this allows him to get the shot off quick even with defenders closing in.
Highlights
Meyers is another player more than willing to take the pivotal shot. Whether it was for 1A powerhouse Kings last season, or with Friends of Hoop this summer, Meyers is a smart player that recognizes space in the offense and always seems to find the dead zone in the defense.
Swanson is more of an all-around scorer than just a shooter, but when he gets hot from distance he is a hard man to stop. He can hit off the dribble, on the catch, under duress, and from way back. He has the ability to take a game over when he heats up. Look for him to have a big season with Mount Vernon.
Again, this kid can score in a number of ways but he’s also a sneaky shooter. Najera has a calm confidence to his game and if the defense doesn’t find a way to get him out of rhythm he will light them up all game long. He hits from three, from mid-range, and even has a nice runner in his arsenal.
Wright has one of the smoother jump shots around and he can bury it from a variety of gathers. He can hit the off-balance turnaround, drill the spot up three, and excels with his pull-up jumper. He’s got good quickness and long arms, and he doesn’t need a ton of space to get his shot off.
