We have been hitting the road hard over the past few weeks visiting open gyms across the state to begin previewing the upcoming season. I’m out of town this week so while I’m not able to hit in-state open gyms I wanted to begin highlighting some of the top uncommitted senior prospects entering this season. There are still players available for college coaches at any and all levels. Be sure to check out Part One, Part Two, and Part Three of this series as well. Now, let’s take a look at six more of the top uncommitted seniors in the state of Indiana.
- t
- Ranked as the #38 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana.
- Holds offers from Wilmington and IU-South Bend.
- This dynamic, playmaking point guard had an excellent summer with George Hill All Indy that really helped make a name for himself. Miller has a tight handle, displays good court vision, and can get to the rim with quick straight-line drives. Likes to push the tempo. Would be a really high level Division III prospect and certainly deserves scholarship money from some NAIA’s.
Highlights
- t
- Ranked as the #39 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana.
- Holds offers from Grace, Huntington, Indiana Tech, and Saint Francis.
- Sefton is a 6’4″ guard with excellent size and strength on the wing. He is a great jump shooter with a high percentage mid-range game and the size to finish around the rim when he curls or drives to the basket. Capable of creating his own shot or playing off the ball as a catch-and-shoot threat. Crossroads League schools are recruiting him hard and rightfully so.
- t
- Ranked as the #40 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana.
- Holds an offer from Anderson with a lot of other interest primarily at the small college level right now, but growing to many different levels.
- 6’5″ wing that is very versatile on both ends of the floor. He showed the ability over the summer to guard bigger defenders around the basket while also possessing the athleticism and length to cover guards on the perimeter. Offensively, he is at his best as a driver and attacking closeouts. Above-the-rim finisher. Would be an immediate impact DIII player. A lot of NAIA’s should be taking a very hard look due to his athleticism, and even DII’s could potentially find a right fit.
- t
- Ranked as the #41 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana.
- Holds offers from Indiana Wesleyan, Huntington, and Grace.
- Sneaky athletic 6’4″ wing that is one of the best shooters in the senior class. Biegel does a good job moving and cutting off of the ball, reads screens well, and can make tough shots when on the perimeter. Highly sought after Crossroads League prospect.
- t
- Ranked as the #42 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana.
- Holds an offer from IU-South Bend.
- Stephens was a major stock-riser over the summer playing his way into being one of the most highly sought after small college forwards in the state. He is very athletic, plays with one of the highest motors in the state, and is an excellent finisher around the basket. Drives it well and will be the perfect 4-man at the next level.
- t
- Ranked as the #43 overall prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana.
- Holds offers from Oakland City, Calumet St. Joseph, IU-East, Mobile, and Berry.
- Another big time stock-riser over the summer. Welch is an excellent shooter from beyond the arc at 6’6″ and has the size and athleticism to attack closeouts and finish at the rim. Sure fire NAIA prospect and his ability to stretch the floor makes him a good option for some Division II programs as well.
