We have been hitting the road hard over the past few weeks visiting open gyms across the state to begin previewing the upcoming season. I’m out of town this week so while I’m not able to hit in-state open gyms I wanted to begin highlighting some of the top uncommitted senior prospects entering this season. There are still players available for college coaches at any and all levels. Be sure to check out Part One, Part Two, Part Three, and Part Four of this series as well. We have also highlight six additional point guard prospects still looking for college homes. Now, we will do the same for the shooting guard position.
Aidan Franks Aidan Franks 6'2" | SG Wapahani | 2023 State IN (Wapahani H.S.): Ranked as the #59 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana. Holds offers from Trine and Wabash as well as IU-Southeast. Franks is an elite scorer who can really shoot the ball from beyond the arc. He is a very good athlete as well giving him the ability to finish up around the rim when he attacks closeouts. Would be a really high level DIII scorer right away and certainly would help some scholarship programs as well.
Elhadj Diallo Elhadj Diallo 6'2" | SG Brownsburg | 2023 State IN (Brownsburg H.S.): Ranked as the #60 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana. Being recruited pretty heavily at the small college level. Was the leading scorer as a junior for a very successful Brownsburg program. Diallo has a smooth mid-range game, can create his own shot off of the dribble, and has a good understanding of team defensive concepts. Definite DIII/NAIA contributor.
DaJohn Craig DaJohn Craig 6'1" | PG Lawrence Central | 2023 State IN (Lawrence Central H.S.): Ranked as the #65 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana. Has been offered by Saint Francis, Wabash, Heidelberg, and Anderson. Craig is an excellent athlete with explosive leaping ability. The 6’1″ long, thin guard can get up and finish at the rim. Very good all-around scorer. Can create for himself or play off of the ball. One of the best small college guard prospects in the state.
Kyron Kaopuiki Kyron Kaopuiki 6'3" | SG Homestead | 2023 State IN (Homestead H.S.): Ranked as the #69 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana. Holds offers from Manchester and Heidelberg with a lot of other high level Division III interest. He is a great scorer off of the bounce with a smooth pull-up jump shot. Very good three-point shooter as well. A 6’3″ two-way guard that will make a very good Division III player sooner than later in his college career.
Sincere Germany Sincere Germany 6'2" | SG Cathedral | 2023 State IN (Cathedral H.S.): Ranked as the #76 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana. Recently picked up his first offer from Franklin College. Smooth left-handed shooter that was the sixth man for Cathedral’s Class 4A state championship team last season. Anytime you contribute the way Germany does at a place like Cathedral you know his game will translate to the next level.
Ollie Sandman Ollie Sandman 6'3" | SG Shelbyville | 2023 State IN (Shelbyville H.S.): Ranked as the #80 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Prep Hoops Indiana. Holds offers from Depauw, Trine, Wabash, and Anderson. Highly sought after small college prospect. Sandman is a 6’2″ guard that can absolutely shoot the lights out. Very talented scorer. His ability to put the ball in the basket will translate to the Division III level right away. Love his offensive game.
