The new Palmetto State Rankings for the 2024 Palmetto State will come out in just under 2 weeks. We sure have seen some changes in this class since the last update that’s for sure.
Simmons will be at James Island this season after winning a SCISA Class 1A State Championship at Cathedral Academy last season. RJ really lets the game come to him and always feels very composed on the hardwood.
Simmons can play both positions in the backcourt and generally can score the ball at will at times. RJ has no problems creating his own scoring opportunities on the floor and along for his teammates.
Felton has really put on some weight since getting into the weight room. Ladontae likes to play the game with some shake and bake in his game.
He explodes to the rack at times and can really finish with either hand. Look for him to lead the Green and White this coming season over in the Western part of the Palmetto State.
Highlights
Jenkins will join forces once again with RJ Simmons RJ Simmons 6’0″ | PG James Island | 2024 State SC in the Trojans backcourt for Head Coach Brady Schuck. Montreal a undersized scoring guard comes over from Cathedral Academy and the SCISA ranks to join James Island HS.
Montreal can get really get it going at times from the perimeter. Watch out for this duo in the SCHSL this coming season.
Damon just brings the same effort time and after time for the Demons. Howey is a year older and has another year of varsity experience under his belt.
He will be counted to lead this improved ball club this coming season. Can the Demons make some noise this coming season in the Midlands?
Highlights
Rembert had a good June and picked up an offer from Georgia Southern University in the Sun Belt Conference. JJ likes to play a fast up-tempo style of play of basketball.
JJ will pressure the ball 94 feet and bring chaos to his opponents. Where will the Falcons land this coming season?
O’Kelley had a solid showing this weekend down in North Charleston. Cameron brings good size to the backcourt and the ability to make shots when he’s not handling the rock.
He shoes a good understanding to the game and willingness to listen to coaching.
Highlights
Connor has good size and versatility in the backcourt for the Predators. He can drop a perimeter jumper, pick up a rebound on both ends, handle the ball up the floor in transition or defend multiple positions.
Connor is looking to have a breakout season for Predators Head Coach Andrew Peckham in Class 2A.
Franklin had a nice season last year for the Cardinals. Look for him to carry that success over another year. Davis is a shot maker, and it sure doesn’t take long for him to get dialed in on the hardwood.
