Prep Hoops Region Predictions:
Landrum HS – The Cardinals will be standing in the end here for the region title. Franklin Davis Franklin Davis 6'3" | SG Landrum | 2024 State SC an Benett Edwards Benett Edwards 6'2" | SG Landrum | 2025 State SC will lead the way for Cardinals Head Coach Lyn Smith.
Greer Middle College – The Blazers will rely on a few veteran players for Head Coach Jamar Armstrong.
Liberty HS – The Red Devils plan on being in the middle of the pack.
Chesnee HS – The Eagles lost the Poole brothers to Broome. Who will step up for Head Coach Andy Pitt and take the lead?
Blacksburg HS – The Wildcats finished (4-18) last season.
Greenville Tech – The Warriors had a long season last year. Things can only go up this season.
Davis is back to lead the Cardinals in the Upstate. Franklin averaged 11.8 ppg and 5.7 rebounds last season for the Cardinals (25-4). Davis has good shotting mechanics and never seems to force his shot while on the floor. He connected on 40% (50-125) from downtown last season. Look for him to improve on those numbers this coming season.
Davis is the Prep Hoops Preseason Region Player of the Year this season.
Musa just plays the game so under control while on the floor and always looks to make solid reads. He understands coming around ball-screens and finding the open man with a quality pass. Muriithi and the Blazers will look to be right on the Cardinals feet this coming season. Musa plays every possession hard and in a competitive mindset.
Highlights
Pfister had a good summer and fall with his play on the hardwood. Jack has a blue-collar mentality who can get stuff done around the basket. He’s not flashy at all but, he is effective with his play. Jack can face-up from the short corner or back you down on the block. He understands on how to box-out and seal down low.
Noah will be thrown into the fire since arriving at Chesnee HS this school year via Canada. Prep Hoops first got a look at him at the Prep Hoops South Carolina Top 250 Expo down in Myrtle Beach. Noah will play both positions in the backcourt for the Eagles.
Can he carry the scoring load this coming season?
Edwards can stroke the ball from the perimeter for the Cardinals. He’s another viable option from the perimeter with his ability to make shots. Benett will surprise you with his athleticism and the ability to get his shot off quickly. He tends to receive the ball in the pocket and lets it fly when he gets it. Edwards averaged 7.1 ppg last season as a freshman.
Proctor is still currently playing football for the Eagles this fall on the football as a Quarterback. Prep Hoops first saw him this summer at the SCBCA Team Camp in Rock Hill. Kjay rebounds the ball well on both sides of the floor for his size. Proctor will be counted on heavily to provide some scoring down in the paint.
Dre Paul Dre Paul 5'11" | CG Liberty | 2023 State SC and Dawson Owen Dawson Owen 6'2" | CG Liberty | 2024 State SC will look to lead the way for the Liberty HS Red Devils this season. Both players ran with Next Level Elite on the Grassroots Circuit.
Kaelan Robinson Kaelan Robinson 6'2" | SG SC is a new name to have in the database from Greenville Tech. Robinson was not in attendance earlier this month at the SCBCA Elite Camp down in North Charleston.
