Volmer has been having sustained success throughout his basketball career at Winner and it is easy for me to see why he is so talented when I watch tape of this kid out on the court. Like many players today, Volmer is not a player who is going to be bound by one position and stick to doing the roles that come with it, Volmer is someone that you see has a love for the game and wants to play. Volmer can play either the 1 or 2 guard position, doing both with high levels of play and not much of a difference in what he does on the court. Volmer is a mix of a high-volume shooter along with the ability to create shots for not only himself but also his teammates, allowing him to be a high-level facilitator of the rock when he is on the court. He is just a player who loves to play basketball and no matter how he does he will play with joy and a high level of energy that makes him extremely coachable and great for team chemistry, he is a player that coaches should look to be a piece for their squad.
Aiden Barfuss – SG, 5’11” 195lbs
Barfuss slots into something that every team needs to be great, that being a gritty and fast 3 and D player who plays hard and works harder to be an elite guard. What Barfuss does is being a player that can do so much for your team and allows him to open up an offense to be a deadly unit when everything is fitting on all cylinders. Defensively is where I see him having great talent, he gives some great and consistent pressure on opposing players along with making them work for every inch of space they try to get it. He sticks to them and does not let them go easy, being able to go guard 1-3 is something that makes him a player that you would love to have on your team and hate to play against. On the offensive side of the ball, he thrives when he moves off the ball and gets his shots created by his playmakers where he can spot, and a hit quick three before the defense can do anything about it. Overall, he is a great two-way player who will play his heart out and give 120% when he is on the court.
Ethan Bartels Ethan Bartels 6'2" | PF Winner | 2023 State SD – SF/SG, 6’3″ 195lbs
Bartels has man levels to his style of play and he plays basketball the way that he wants to and makes others that guard him conform to his game unless they want to have so much scored on them. Bartels is a three-level scoring type of player who can finish at the rim or pull up for a quick jumper which makes him nearly unguardable when he is in transition on the court. He has a great jumper on him that gets the ball out quickly and does not allow for many block shots to happen if any at all, he uses his long arms to get above defenders to drain those shots. Bartels does one thing and that is being an elite scorer but that does not mean that he does not help his team off the ball by setting some key screens and moving around to get open. Overall, he is an all-around scorer that can and will score when he gets the ball in his hands, making him a readily threat when he is on the court.
Shawn Hammerbeck Shawn Hammerbeck 6'7" | PF Winner | 2025 State SD – PF/C, 6’5″ 200lbs
Hammerbeck is a big-man style of player who focuses most of his game on being a defensive foe in the paint and not allowing any player to come in his paint when he is there. Hammerbeck might be slightly undersized compared to other big men but he makes up for that and more when it comes to being him being agile and being able to dribble like other big men cannot. He has some great handles and can move to the rim and finish like a slasher type of forward but also has the length and the ability to defend like a center, making him a tricky player to handle on the court. Hammerbeck if he goes on to the next level to play college ball will most likely transition into a Small Foward type of role and I see him fitting that like a glove and being great at it, make sure you see this kid with his talent on the court.
