5. Coeur d’Alene High School || Vikings ||
Steven Burgess Steven Burgess 5'11" | PG Coeur d'Alene | 2023 State ID is a solid little PG that can score and create. Five solid players coming back. Logan Orchard, Camden Degraw and few other will give the Vikings a good chance to compete.
4. Madison High School || Bobcats ||
With 9 players coming back it looks like Madison will be able to make some noise. their best player coming back is Berrett Wilson The Class of 2024 stud will be the guy this year and he has some good pieces around him.
3. Eagle High School || Mustangs ||
This is the team that could really surprise teams not ready for them. Solid PG transfer in Russell Gibson Russell Gibson 6'2" | CG Eagle | 2024 State ID who has been playing high level ball all over and has had a few stops in Utah before coming to Eagle. Landen White Landen White 6'7" | SF Eagle | 2023 State ID will have help as we will have more people to get him the ball but also more options for him he will not be the focal point on the scouting report.
2. Lake City High School || Timberwolves ||
Lake City will be lead by Blake Buchanan Blake Buchanan 6'10" | PF Lake City | 2023 State #172 Nation ID and expect him to see a variety of defenses thrown at him. the double and possible triple teams will be coming at him. Likely the best player in the state overall in all classes and he will be a handful. Kolton Mitchell Kolton Mitchell 6'1" | PG Lake City | 2023 State ID is another tough cover as they have two D1 commits coming back and looking to really avenge last season’s upset loss. Kolton can score from all three level and so can Nathan Hocking Nathan Hocking 6'6" | SF Lake City | 2023 State ID . The pair of next level players will make it tough for teams to double team. Zach Johnson Zach Johnson 6'2" | SF Lake City | 2023 State ID is another solid guard to watch as is Deacon Kiesbury Deacon Kiesbury 6'2" | CG Lake City | 2023 State ID . This team will be tough and they have as good a chance as anyone to run the table in 5A.
1. Owyhee High School || Storm ||
The team with a target on its back will look to repeat. They have some impressive players coming back and a mixture of young talent and veteran talent as well. They have some solid size across the board and they bring back some players that can really spread the floor and shoot the ball. Liam Campbell Liam Campbell 6'5" | SG Owyhee | 2024 State #154 Nation ID is just a matchup nightmare as he has size and if you don’t match his size he will have his way with smaller players as he is too big and will shoot over or post players. Anyone bigger that can’t move their feet is toast as well. Titus Bailey Titus Bailey 6'3" | SG Owyhee | 2023 State ID is a solid all-around player that is somewhat of a glue guy that is a valuable piece coming back. In coming sophomore Cameron Downey and Jackson Rogers Jackson Rogers 6'3" | SG Owyhee | 2025 State ID are good guards that can shoot and handle the ball a bit. Reece Sasser-Gunson Reece Sasser-Gunson 6'6" | SF Owyhee | 2023 State ID has some nice size as Owyhee is just deep.
