#5 Crimson Cliffs High School
Crimson Cliffs has the talent pool and the size and skill to really compete in their region. They have some players that can step in and compete. Trevor Taylor Trevor Taylor 6'4" | CG Crimson Cliffs | 2025 State UT is a stud as he is attacking the rim like usually and playing above the rim and he is accompanied by good role players. A player that could really make a jump in performance this year is Houston Johnsen Houston Johnsen 6'7" | SF Crimson Cliffs | 2023 State UT . He is an active long F that can do a little bit of everything. Phoenix McWillis Phoenix McWillis 6'2" | CG Crimson Cliffs | 2023 State UT is another player looking to have a breakout season.
#4 Layton Christian Academy
Word that we are hearing is that LCA come playoff time will jump in the 4A playoffs. With a lot of people upset, it is what it is. This team is loaded with talent and they could easily make a deep run in the playoffs. They usually play a tough pre-season schedule and find ways to get everyone on the floor. A player that you need to track is Souleymane Barro Souleymane Barro 6'7" | SF Layton Christian | 2023 State UT . This kid can hoop and he is probably a SF right now, but if he starts shooting the ball better he could be a 3 at the right school. Sammie Ishimwe Sammie Ishimwe 6'6" | PF Layton Christian | 2023 State UT is another talented F on the roster that can go. Impressed with Tyran Jones a young lanky sophomore that has some major upside. In a few years he might shock a lot of people, especially those that do not get a chance to watch him on a daily basis.
#3 Sky View High School
It’s hard to call the 3rd ranked team a sleeper team because they’re good but Sky View is going to play at a high level. One player that college coaches need to know is Tanner Davis Tanner Davis 6'5" | PG Sky View | 2024 State UT . This PG has size and D1 capability. We have seen him in attack mode and he can do somethings that other PG’s can’t Looking forward to the rest of the squad that will suit up a long side this talented PG. Logan Deal Logan Deal 6'6" | SF Sky View | 2023 State UT is another player that will have his way with any one undersized guarding him.
#2 Ridgeline High School
Ever since Ridgeline opened its door’s they have been a team to fear. They won state their first year and look to be back in the mix. Although they have some new faces on the floor do not look past the talent and team play they have. They will be lead by a few players and the first player that next level coaches need to look at is Luke Sorenson Luke Sorenson 6'7" | SF Ridgeline | 2023 State UT , this kid has talent. That next level leading ability and size cannot go unseen much longer. Luke can flat out hoop. Ridgeline will end up beating some 5A and 6A programs this year and Luke can compete against any team in the state. Carson Cox Carson Cox 6'4" | CG Ridgeline | 2024 State UT is a shooter with size. He is turning into an all-around talent. He is a player that is a multi-sport athlete. Could end up at the D1 level as a receiver. Jagger Francom Jagger Francom 6'8" | C Ridgeline | 2024 State UT has played against some top notch competition and he is going to be a load for teams to handle.
#1 Dixie High School
When it comes to teams gearing up for the high school season Dixie has really transformed their level of play by the way that they schedule games and where they have gone in terms of playing against anyone, anywhere and everywhere. From getting on at Section 7, The Great Western Classic and even the Boarder League, They are really playing some high level teams and it could pay off as they position themselves to make a run at another State Championship. The growth and maturity of their PG Jordan Roberts Jordan Roberts 6'0" | PG Dixie | 2024 State UT has really taken shape. He is a player that can not only get in the lanes and score but he can shoot the ball as well. He is an ideal PG that can distribute the ball. Look for him to be in the conversation for top assist man in the state. One thing that helps everyone on the team to get their assist up is the big fella Kyle Lemke Kyle Lemke 6'9" | C Dixie | 2024 State UT who is a D1 big that can get up and down the floor. He covers a lot of ground and although he does keep it simple he is getting creative around the rim. John Southwick John Southwick 6'3" | SG Utah Prep | 2025 State #234 Nation UT is a nice two way guard they have fully healthy back on the floor. He provides shooting and three-level scoring. John is a good athlete as well. Grant Carter Grant Carter 6'1" | CG Dixie | 2023 State UT is making plays and hitting big shots. Dixie is back on top of the ranking but they will have people looking to
knock them off.
