He will look to build off an outstanding freshman season that saw him put up 18PPG. He helped lead Kings to a 2nd place finish at the state tournament last season. He is one of the best players in the class of 2025 in the entire state.
Highlights
Zillah had a team loaded with talent last season and he led that group scoring over 20PPG as a junior. Zillah should be right back in the hunt for a title in March, and he’s the main reason why.
He leads the two time defending class 1A champion Lyncs on a quest for their third straight title. He’s one of the best point guards in the state and the Lyncs have a chance to to do it again.
The do everything guard is busy with football right now as the QB for a playoff bound Freeman team. Once he hits the hardwood, he’s one of the most complete players at the 1A level.
Highlights
He’s one of three sophomores on this list. Annie Wright will be loaded for the next three years at the very least. He brings back a double double, points and rebounds to a team that will challenge for a 1A title.
The other Annie Wright player on the list, he was the leading scorer last season on a state tournament team, averaging 20PPG. This team is loaded with talented underclassmen.
The junior sharp-shooter from Chelan is a big reason why I have the Goats ranked 4th in my pre-season class 1A poll. He can shoot the lights out and should be among the state’s top scorers.
The senior point guard will also likely have his season delayed a week or two playing QB on the Toppenish football team. That shouldn’t matter much, as he is a multi-year starter who will pick up where he left off as one of the best point guards in 1A
Highlights
He led his team with a 16 a game average last year, in a year they fell just short of the state tournament. He will be one of the best guards in district 4’s class 1A.
Shay Brannon
Shay Brannon
Leading scorer on a league title team that made it to the final regional round. He’s got good size for a guard and should be a scoring machine for Eatonville this season.
The big man is back for his senior season and will be looking to get his team to the state tournament after falling to Castle Rock in the final game of regionals a, year ago.
I am giving the defending champion two players here also. The sweet shooting lefty can fill it up from deep and should have a bigger role as the only other returning starter for Lynden Christian.
He makes the list due to watching him dominate in a game at the prephoops Top 250 Expo. And it wasn’t because he was taking a lot of shots or bad shots.
Highlights
The big man from Lacenter is versatile and strong. He can score from all levels and will be a big part of an improved team that lost only one senior from a year ago.
He’s leading his Lakeside football team to a perfect record and a state berth as the QB at the moment. When he’s done with football, he’ll return to hoops for a chance at being a two sport all state selection.
