Here we have several 2023 prospects who’ll be impact players with their new teams.
Tyler Harris Tyler Harris 6'6" | SF Granada | 2023 State #210 Nation CA-N 6’7 Wing/Forward of Granada HS. Transferred from Salesian Prep
The long wiry Harris will be teaming up with 7’0 St. Mary commit Andrew McKeever Andrew McKeever 7'0" | C Granada | 2023 State #236 Nation CA-N to form a tough one two punch on the court. Harris likes to handle the ball, play on the wing, and do some slashing towards the rim. He’ll have more opportunities to use his natural skills to create off the dribble, pass, and penetrate. He’s one of NorCals top prospects in the class. He has multiple DI offers.
Jalen Brown Jalen Brown 6'2" | SG Modesto Christian | 2023 State CA-N 6’2 Combo Guard of Modesto Christian HS. Transferred from Everett Alvarez.
Brown has proven himself to be an impact player with his dominance in a weaker league. He’ll be a producer based on his quality play over the Spring and Summer on a good Lakeshow Club Team that made deep runs in Vegas, and SoCal events. He’s versatile, with the tools to help Modesto Christian make another state appearance, and compete on the National Stage this season.
Jayden Teat Jayden Teat 6'3" | CG Capital Christian | 2023 State CA-N 6’3 Combo Guard of Capital Christian HS. Transferred from Jesuit.
Teat was in full combo mode when we saw him a week ago against quality competition at the SoCal Fall Preview. He showed good leadership along with the physical tools to carry this young group early on until they get their footing. He can run the team, and get a bucket in different ways. He’s a good defender too.
Blake Hudson Blake Hudson 6'2" | PG Dougherty Valley | 2023 State CA-N 6’3 Guard/Forward of Dougherty Valley HS. Transferred from St. Mary’s in Albany
The athletic Hudson will be a good addition to a team that already has one of the top back courts in NorCal with Ryan Beasley Ryan Beasley 5'11" | PG Dougherty Valley | 2023 State #228 Nation CA-N (USF commit) and Connor Sevilla Connor Sevilla 6'0" | PG Dougherty Valley | 2023 State CA-N . At 6’3 Hudson’s versatility will be on display on both ends of the court. He will create, pass, and score for himself. He’s a tough defender who’ll guard multiple positions and will help on the boards.
Derek Lamb Derek Lamb 6'6" | PF Whitney | 2023 State CA-N 6’8 Forward of Whitney HS. Transferred from Oakmont
Lamb has good upside and continues to grow his body, and skill set. He’s an active player who works well around the basket. A big target to receive, improved foot work with a good touch. He’ll work to defend in the post, go after rebounds, and blocks out of his space, and he’s an excellent court runner. He’s a double, double player, with an improving shot away from the basket.
Jalen Newhouse Jalen Newhouse 6'2" | PG El Camino | 2023 State CA-N 6’2 Shooting Guard of Rio Americano HS. Transferred from El Camino
Newhouse a no nonsense guard has improved his offensive skill set. He’ll bring toughness on the defensive side and help with the rebounding. His improved ball handling, and shooting should help produce points on the offense.
Kiku Parker Kiku Parker 5'10" | PG Grant Union | 2023 State CA-N Jr. 5’10 Combo Guard of Grant HS. Transferred from El Camino.
We saw Parker last week he’s made the adjustments and is now one of the main contributors on a team looking to make a deep run again. He’s tough to guard in one on one situations using his handle and body to get down hill and play through contact. He executes well in pick and roll situations making good decisions through it. He’s a good defender when locked in.
