Defensively, Winters would frequently pickup the other team’s best player and give him problems. He’s simply got a dawg mentality, a common theme with Wood Elite prospects. On the offensive end, Winters made some unbelievable passes and he’s really grown as a playmaker over the past couple months. When he can get downhill in transition, Winters is dangerous. In a few years, we could definitely be talking about Tre Winters Tre Winters 6’5″ | SG Adairsville | 2025 State GA as one of the best 2025s in Georgia.
There are few guards in Georgia, regardless of class, that possess the speed and quickness of Caleb Thomas Caleb Thomas 5’10” | PG Pebblebrook | 2025 State GA . Opposing guards had trouble staying in front of Thomas all day Saturday and he was able to create consistently off the dribble. He’s got a solid handle on the ball and is a good passer as well. As Thomas grows more dangerous as a 3-point shooter, he’ll become one of the more talked about guards in the 2023 class. He should see good minutes this year in Pebblebrook’s backcourt and be able to further make a name for himself.

When talking about guys that play above the rim, few in the 2025 class do so like Ethan Carter Ethan Carter 6’7″ Arlington Christian School | 2025 GA . He provided a consistent lob threat throughout the day, finishing several alley-oops above the rim. He’s also got great timing as a shot contester and was able to get his fingertips on a lot of layups. Carter should have alot of success this year at Arlington as he fits nicely with Cameron Catholic Cameron Catholic 6’5″ | SF Langston Hughes | 2024 State GA and Davon Aikens Davon Aikens 5’10” | CG Arlington Christian | 2024 State GA .

Jackson McVey Jackson McVey 7’1″ | C Gilmer | 2025 State #192 Nation GA opened a lot of eyes on Saturday, proving himself to be one of the top bigs in Georgia’s 2025 class. McVey had a countless number of dunks throughout the day and constantly ruled the paint. He also did a great job protecting the rim, denying a lot of layups around the rim. After some solid showings in the RYZE Fall League and a great day at the Top 250 Expo, McVey looks to be developing nicely and should be a name to know for the next few years.

Maki Joyner Maki Joyner 6’5″ | SG Savannah | 2025 State #376 Nation GA made the trip up from Savannah and certainly made it worth while. Joyner is a versatile, 3-level scorer that is making a name for himself as one of Georgia’s top 2025 wings. Joyner’s got a smooth handle which he used to beat defenders off the dribble and get to the rim. He also proved to be a capable shooter, knocking down several open 3s on the day. The pairing of talented 2025s, Maki Joyner Maki Joyner 6’5″ | SG Savannah | 2025 State #376 Nation GA and Tre Winters Tre Winters 6’5″ | SG Adairsville | 2025 State GA , made for a very entertaining team and both should be highly regarded within their class.
