Continue ReadingRecently several of the 2023 prospects and one major 2024 prospect that we have been scouting and writing about for two years announced which program they will play for at the next level. So, we thought we would take a minute to acknowledge the dedication and skills that led to this life changing achievement for these ballers.
Below is a rundown of eight more 2023 prospects and one 2024 prospect from southeastern Pennsylvania who recently committed to play college ball.
Dylan Blair Dylan Blair 5'10" | PG Downingtown West | 2023 State PA – 5’11” / Senior / Downingtown West / East Coast Cyclones / Point Guard: Blair owns speed and filthy handles but is always under control. Thus, he is tremendous in the transition game. Plus, Blair shoots threes at a high clip. He is committed to Army and that coaching staff at West Point should be delighted with this pick up.
Jacen Holloway Jacen Holloway 6'4" | SF Devon Prep | 2023 State PA – 6’3” / Senior / Devon Prep / Prim3 Tim3 / Small Forward: Holloway recently verballed to Army and the Black Knights are getting one of the biggest match-up problems in the PCL. Holloway has the handles and jump shot to operate on the perimeter. He also possesses the length, physicality, and low post moves to take smaller defenders to the weight room.
Elmarko Jackson – 6’3” / Senior / South Kent (CT) / We R1 / Combo Guard: The former Academy of New Church star is a Top 50 nationally ranked 2023 prospect. He reminds us of prime Russell Westbrook, but with a nice jumper. Earlier tonight Jackson (pic above) chose Kansas from among an avalanche of offers. Remember his name because someday Jackson will be in the Association.
Max Koehler Max Koehler 6'2" | SG ChesCo Storm | 2023 State PA – 6’1” / Senior / Garnet Valley / Prim3 Tim3 / Shooting Guard: Koehler is a superb change of speed guard who can drain threes as well. His mid-range game is nasty too, because he has mastered the art of kissing jumpers and floaters of the glass for a bucket. He is a three-year starter who helped GV to the 2020-21 Central League title. Koehler is committed to York College (DIII)
Danny Rosenblum Danny Rosenblum 6'0" | PG Radnor | 2023 State PA – 6’0” / Senior / Radnor / Prim3 Tim3 / Point Guard: In 2021-22 Rosenblum was a key part of Radnor’s run to the District 1-5A championship game. This summer he piloted Team USA U18 to a gold medal at the Maccabi Games. So, the University of Rochester (DIII) is getting a skilled floor general with significant big game experience.
Alex Seidman Alex Seidman 6'3" | SG Haverford | 2023 State PA – 6’0” / Senior / Haverford / PSB Philly / Combo Guard: One of the most feared long-range snipers in SEPA is headed to Catholic University (DIII). Seidman’s logo range and quick trigger make him especially lethal as a trail shooter. He is an underrated athlete who can also play point guard and score off the dribble drive. In August Seidman was named ZGXL Grassroots Stock Riser of the Year.
Zion Stanford Zion Stanford 6'5" | SF West Catholic | 2023 State PA – 6’5” / Senior / West Catholic / K-Low Elite / Small Forward: Head coach Aaron McKie and his Temple staff got a 1st Team All-PCL wing scorer to stay home. That is a major accomplishment. Stanford (14.8 ppg. & 5.4 rpg.) is an extremely skilled, high IQ player who can simply take over a game. His efficient offensive game is a thing of beauty to watch.
Robert Wright III Robert Wright III 6'0" | PG Montverde Academy (FL) | 2024 State #35 Nation FL – 6’0” / Junior / Neumann-Goretti / Team Final EYBL / Point Guard: The No. 1 prospect in Pennsylvania’s Class of 2024 is now committed to Baylor. The Bears are getting a floor general who can score at all three levels and is a plus defender. Wright’s ability to get to the tin on the break or in the half-court is next level. As a bonus to all this scoring, Wright is a willing distributer.
Josh Wyche – 6’7” / Senior / Cristo Rey / K-Low Elite / Wing: Wyche owns elite athleticism, hops, a huge wingspan and runs the floor well. So, naturally he excels in transition. Additionally, Wyche can knock down triples. At the other end, he is a standout defender. When Wyche hits the court for Lafayette College in 2022-23, Patriot League opponents will be in trouble
