1. Robert Peters Robert Peters 6'8" | PF West Allis Hale | 2023 State WI – West Allis Hale
Peters holds an offer from SIUE. Think Peters is still a prospect that can play his way to the Division 1 level and continues to show a lot of promise. Peters is a legit 6-foot-8 with a solid back-to-the-basket game. He’s got nimble feet and a soft touch and has increasingly become more versatile. Peters is playing point forward for West Allis Hale and creating mismatches at a high clip. As a junior, Peters put up 19 points, six rebounds, and two assists per game. IUPUI and Air Force are also involved with Peters at this time.
2. Simeon Murchison Simeon Murchison 6'9" | PF Milwaukee Bay View | 2023 State WI – Milwaukee Hamilton
Murchison sat out his junior season due to WIAA transfer rules. However, the 6-foot-8 forward is taking some major steps in the right direction. A strong, athletic forward, Murchison arguably has the best motor on this list. Murchison can really get after it on the offensive glass and has an imposing nature about him. He’s not a big threat from outside the paint nor is he overly skilled, but Murchison has started to expand his game away from the rim.
3. William Whorton William Whorton 6'8" | PF Rufus King | 2023 State WI – Milwaukee King
Tennessee State, Central Michigan, Louisiana-Monroe, and SIUE all have offers on the table. From a pure upside standpoint, there’s not a better prospect on this list than Whorton. A boom-or-bust type forward, Whorton is a freak athlete with a ton of length. He’s started to shoot it well from 3-point range as well, but is going to make most of his noise as a momentum-changer in terms of transition dunks and shot blocking. A prospect that’s not even close to growing into his long, lanky frame, Whorton has the potential to pack on a ton of muscle in a collegiate strength and conditioning program. Milwaukee, South Dakota State, and Citadel are also expressing interest at this time.
4. Ethan Thomas Ethan Thomas 6'7" | PF Whitnall | 2023 State WI – Whitnall
Like the players above him on this list, Thomas isn’t even close to a finished product. The 6-foot-8 senior shows a lot of flashes and has things you just can’t teach in terms of his athleticism and length for the power forward position. Thomas has some impressive finesse scoring ability for such a raw prospect and can even do some things with his momentum going away from the rim. As a junior, Thomas averaged six points per game while shooting 55 percent from the field.
5. Chris Djurasovic Chris Djurasovic 6'8" | PF Homestead | 2023 State WI – Homestead
Djurasovic would be a really big get at the Division 3 level for just about any program. A mobile, strong, and athletic forward that’s still just scratching the surface, Djurasovic’s best days are still ahead of him. If all else fails, think Djurasovic will be a strong rebounding and rim protecting presence. However, he’s got a lot to work with as a post prospect that can run the floor, soft hands in traffic, and can step out and shoot the basketball a little bit. Djurasovic averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game for a 24-3 Homestead squad last season. He also shot 56 percent from the floor. MIT Williams and Carnegie Mellon are the two schools Djurasovic is focused on at this point.
