Today, we take a look at some of the guys who took the biggest leaps in rankings in the senior class update.
Adrian Myers Adrian Myers 6'5" | SF Massanutten | 2023 State VA | 6’7” F | Massanutten
Current Rank: #5
Previous Rank: #15
Myers was one of the biggest stock risers of the July live period when he switched to DC Premier and caught the eye of coaches with his athleticism, length and high ceiling, and knowing where he came from just a few years ago he looks like a totally different player. The 6’7” hybrid forward can play an inside-out style, he has improved massively in his catch and shoot ability and is a big time athlete who can play above the rim and has endless potential on the defensive end with his athletic traits.
Gibraltar Coleman Gibraltar Coleman 6'6" | PF Flint Hill | 2023 State VA | 6’7” PF | Flint Hill
Current Rank: #23
Previous Rank: #44
Coleman was a player we knew well going into this summer, but it wasn’t quite clear the jump he had made until the DMV Live period where he was one of the top scorers in the event and picked up multiple division one offers, eventually committing to American University. The 6’7” forward is a walking mismatch as he can score it from all three levels, has the physical tools to dominate in the post as a scorer and a rebounder and he can create his own shots at his size which is impressive.
Bryson Wilson Bryson Wilson 6'5" | SF St Stephen’s And St Agnes | 2023 State VA | 6’5” SF | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes
Current Rank: #42
Previous Rank: #63
Wilson is another player who had a big DMV Live period and showed that he is turning the corner with the physical and athletic abilities that made him so intriguing and is starting to put it all together. At 6’5” he has great size on the wing and is a big time athlete with good speed and explosive leaping ability, he rebounds well for his position and he’s starting to learn how to score the ball in different ways.
Quint Booker Quint Booker 6'3" | SG Bishop Ireton | 2023 State VA | 6’3” SG | Bishop Ireton
Current Rank: #68
Previous Rank: #103
Booker was another guy who had a great showing at the DMV Live period and will likely be a top scorer in the WCAC this year for Ireton. The 6’3” off guard is very strong and adept at slashing and playing through contact, he can score the ball from all three levels efficiently and in bunches and he brings a leadership presence to his team on both ends of the floor.
Elijah Mitchell Elijah Mitchell 6'5" | PF Oak Hill | 2023 State VA | 6’6” PF | Oak Hill Academy
Current Rank: #73
Previous Rank: #98
Mitchell is a very impressive long term project who should impress the tons of coaches who come through Oak Hill every year with his power and athleticism as a hybrid forward. The 6’6” forward is a ferocious finisher with tons of bounce and great timing, he can knock down shots when he’s left open and make defenses pay and he can
Justin Bass Justin Bass 5'11" | PG Kecoughtan | 2023 State VA | 6’0” PG | Kecoughtan
Current Rank: #93
Previous Rank: #118
Bass is coming off of a huge summer with Team Push where he showed that he can flat out score the ball with the best of them and has seen his recruitment start to pick up in the last few weeks because of it. The 6’0” lead guard is a quick and wiry guard who can blow by and get in the lane where he’s a crafty finisher, he can get to spots all over the floor off the bounce and make shots from all three levels and he can get hot quickly and fill it up in bunches relatively easily.
Reuben McEachern Reuben McEachern 6'1" | PG Carmel | 2023 State VA | 5’10” PG | Carmel School
Current Rank: #95
Previous Rank: #112
McEachern is the definition of a throwback style point guard as he’s a true leader on the floor and finds ways to make his teammates better and will do a little of everything to impact the game in a positive light. He has tremendous feel on both ends of the floor and sets the tone for his team with his effort and unselfish style of play, he can get in the lane and create space off the bounce to get open looks and he can turn it on and score it in bunches when his team needs him to.
