Zion Sensley Zion Sensley 6'8" | SF Archbishop Riordan | 2024 State #124 Nation CA-N 6’7 of Prolific Prep
Sensley has continued to develop his game at a good pace. He’s sharpened his shooting mechanics, he’s stronger, and his handles are improved. He’s looks more sure of himself putting up shots including 3’s. He’s converting his opportunities in transition, he’s hitting long in rhythm 3’s, and he’s finishing better when he takes it into the paint. At 6’7 he handles and passes well in the open court. His rebounding and defense are improving.
Ben Roseborough Ben Roseborough 6'3" | SG Bella Vista Prep | 2024 #158 Nation AZ 6’3 of Monterey Trail HS
We didn’t see much of Roseborough this past spring and summer, he did play with Team Why Not 16U on The EYBL Circuit. The big guard is battle tested and he’s one of NorCal’s top talents in this 2024 class. A solid body with good handles, and he can knock down shots long and short jumpers as well as work his way into the paint for points. For Roseborough it really doesn’t matter where he is on the court, he’s going to produce buckets with his consistent shot making.
Jase Butler Jase Butler 6'4" | PG Branson (Ross, CA) | 2024 State #120 Nation CA-N 6’4 of The Branson HS
Butler has made the transition from being a good post player to a good all-around prospect. He’s made improvements to his game away from the basket. He’s doing guard things, and is now a player who will produce at any position or area he plays at the high school level. He operated from the guard, and wing position throughout the spring and summer playing with the Oakland Soldiers EYBL 16U Team. He’ll continue his board work and intensity on the defense.
Jacob Gilchrist Jacob Gilchrist 6'6" | SF Twelve Bridges | 2024 State CA-N 6’6 of Twelve Bridges HS
Gilchrest is probably one of the better prospects we had never seen in this class, before the spring and summer. He’s a skilled forward who can operate on the wings effectively, then use his determination and length to go inside to get buckets as well. He’s a confident shooter, who can make shots from 3, he’ll use his dribble to attack from the perimeter and baseline to finish in different ways around the rim including dunks. He can defend bigs, and will get his rebounds. He handles, and passes well in open court.
Ahsan Huff Ahsan Huff 6'6" | PF Vanden | 2024 State CA-N 6’6 of Vanden HS
The square shoulder forward has added strength to an improving skill set away from the basket. He’ll still defend, rebound and get blocks working in the post area. He’s improved his ball handling, and passing in transition. He’s knocking down the mid-range, and paint jumper with some success. He has good movement and foot-speed in the open court. Most of his damage will be done around the post area for now. There’s no question his game is expanding.
Richard Banks Richard Banks 6'4" | PG Weston Ranch | 2024 State CA-N 6’4 of Weston Ranch HS
He’s a long arm wing/forward whose made good improvements to his overall game. He seems most productive in space and in transition using his speed and improving skill set to get buckets. We’ve seen him knock down 3’s when he gets things going. His athleticism is starting to surface on both side of the ball. This could be a breakout season for him.
Marcel Longmire Marcel Longmire 6'4" | SF Jesse Bethel | 2024 State CA-N 6’4 of Armijo HS (Featured)
He’s a long arm wing/forward who can play multiple positions on the court. He’s a good ball handler, and passer from the top. He can create his own shots working with his dribble on the perimeter, with strong takes along the baseline for finishes, and short corner jumpers. We’ve seen him run the court in transition, and score multiple buckets with his length in and around the post area. He’s a tenacious defender who can defend, and rebound in the post, he has good movements and length to guard away from the basket.
Samuel Chavarin Samuel Chavarin 6'3" | SG Bishop O'Dowd | 2024 State CA-N 6’3 of Bishop O’Dowd HS
Chavarin had somewhat of a breakout this spring and summer with his play. He fits well into the wing /forward position on this team, for now while he sharpens his guard skills. His new found aggressiveness makes him a player you have to deal with working 15 feet and in. He’s shown he’s most effective using one or two dribbles, and his shoulders to get by defenders. He’s making the short jumper, and finishing strong off two feet in the paint. He’s getting rebounds and his work on the defensive side of the ball is starting to get noticed.
Navaughn Long Navaughn Long 6'4" | SF Granada | 2024 State CA-N 6’4 of Granada HS
The athletic wing and slasher could be headed for a breakout season. He’s a long prospect who can do damage flying to the hoop in transition for dunks. We’ve seen him spot up for corner 3’s, and work along the baseline to finish with authority in the paint. His length and movements makes him a prospect who can guard on the perimeter, yet help in the post.
Tobias Aisien Tobias Aisien 6'4" | SF Bishop O'Dowd | 2024 State CA-N 6’5 of Bishop O’Dowd HS
Aisien has been working hard to improve his skill-set away from the basket. He’s long, has a nice frame to fill, and looks to be getting stronger. When we saw him in the spring, he was running the court with energy, using his hops to go get lobs for dunks and rebounds to put back. He was actively trying to block shots. He’s made improvements handling in open court, finishing around the rim. He has length and foot-speed to defend and take away passing lanes on the perimeter.
Jeremiah Collins Jeremiah Collins 6'2" | CG Pitsburg | 2024 State CA-N 6’2 of Pittsburg HS
He’s a player we’ve only seen a couple of times, and will need to see more of. He’s stronger than he looks, he plays hard on both ends of the court. At 6’2 he’s effective using his strength in the post to rebound and score. He runs the court hard to finish in transition. He did some handling in transition, and on occasion he took it strong into the paint off the dribble, he works along the baselines. He has good intensity and good lateral movements to be a good on ball defender.
