Nigro impressed both in June with his high school team and in May with Team Clutch on the grassroots circuit. Nigro is an impressive scorer off the ball with the ability to come off screens and execute designed plays. Nigro is productive and ready to take on a bigger role as a Junior next to star Will Aljancic Will Aljancic 6’6″ | SF Louisville | 2023 State OH . I had the Leopards as a sleeper Division II state title contender but with their move up to Division I the lights are going to be even brighter this season.

Copley is one of the top prospects in southeast Ohio’s 2024 class and continues to improve each time I watch him play. Lucasville Valley plays a fast style which allows Copley to get tons of reps as he was a leading scorer for their team as a Sophomore. Copley is dangerous as a shooter either off the bounce or the catch and is improving his ability to create for himself. If Copley can continue to grow as a self-creator and become even more deadly on catch and shoot opportunities, he’s a potential scholarship target for Division II and NAIA programs.

Brown is a prospect who stood out on an OBC squad that won some big games this spring and summer. I was impressed with Brown’s spot-up shooting ability and think he has some athletic upside to grow as a ball-handler and defender. Solon will be relying a lot on Brown and Rayquan Thompson Rayquan Thompson 6’0″ | PG Solon | 2023 State OH this winter in the ultra-competitive GCC.
A two sport athlete for the Irish, Sir Charles Gordon Sir Charles Gordon 6’4″ | SF STVM | 2024 State OH is a prospect who I was intrigued by his flashes this summer. Gordon has good size for a wing prospect and great strength as well. I would imagine Gordon’s future lies on the gridiron as he’s had a big season at WR for STVM, but I’m also intrigued by his talent’s on the hardwood. I always like watching multi-sport athletes, especially at schools with the talent of STVM in football and basketball compete.
Taylor’s another prospect who makes this list from the Marshall Warriors 16 U group. This team competed on both ends and Taylor’s athleticism and motor stood out to me whenever I watched him play. I haven’t gotten to see too much of his offensive skill so far, but am excited to continue to monitor Taylor’s development this winter for a state title contender in Lutheran East. Taylor is a prospect I wouldn’t be stunned if he makes a big jump in the next year or so and winds up higher in the rankings when it’s all said and done.
