The big ten, big east, pac 12 are sprinkled with LUHI players. The Portledge school is a rising program that also is a state champion fixture in their class. Upper Room Christian school also gets alot of college program traction . These three private schools are able to secure some of the best talent on the Island.

An extremely athletic player. Can score in many different ways. He plays above the rim. He plays much bigger then his height. With his strength he is able to guard bigger players.
Brandon combines the old school big with the stretch 4. Possesses a soft touch. He is a real weapon in pick n roll or pop sets. He uses his wide frame to set hard screens. He gets extra shots for his team by keeping plays alive.
A very good shooter from beyond the arc. This lefty combines that skillset with the ability to also get to the rim. He is crafty on the drive and finishes in multiple ways.

Dylan might be at the top of the lists of players for class year 2026. He is a confident smooth player. Nothing seems to phase him with the ball in his hands. He has unlimited range. Seems to get to the rim many different ways. Uses a explosive dribble, hesitation or changes direction or speed in a flash. Has transferred over to play for the Crusaders from Farmingdale where he was on the varsity as an eight grader.
Jacob’s older brother and LUHI teammate has committed to UCONN. Jacob will also be a high major player when it comes to his time. But right now he possesses a high skill set. He has a really good feel for the game. Has a high basketball IQ. He seems to play a thinking man’s game with explosiveness. A dangerous mix for opponents.
