Section 5AAA Rundown
As we previously said, none of these teams are in the bottom quarter of our Class AAA power rankings and most are above the half way line. Why? Because Princeton has a top guy back (Drews) along with their bench talent, and Becker has three starters back who are really good players. Becker has more back than Princeton does but the Tigers have won the M8 the last four years and have been consistently at state. Big Lake is another one to watch because they have four-five key players back from last year’s team. Chisago Lakes should make a big jump as should Zimmerman while St. Francis has the best prospect in the section (Bothun) and Monticello has the best young player (Emmerich).
