Skaljac was one of the few 2024 prospects who played up 17 U this spring and summer and was impressive for TNBA ‘ last=”]’ last=”]-Ohio on the Hoop Group circuit. Skaljac plays with great pace and has seen his recruitment take a sharp increase this summer. In the month of June he received four offers from MAC programs. Skaljac will be one of the top players in northeast Ohio this season and will continue to grow as a name everybody knows across the state.

Buckner is another prospect who had a sharp increase in recruitment this summer, adding offers to Albany, George Mason, Kent State and Duquense. Buckner has a smooth game and has increased in explosive athleticism. Saint Ignatius played a loaded schedule in June and Buckner is now the leader of the team, I’m expecting big things from Ace and the Wildcats this winter.
Jackson is a steady performer who just makes things happen on both ends of the court. One of the top defensive wing guards in the 2024 class, Jackson is able to make an impact on the game without the ball in his hands. Jackson was also consistent for Midwest Basketball Club’s 16 U 3SSB team as well that had some roster turnover from April to July.

Freeman is a prospect who I thought really took a step this summer and is now a Division I prospect. Freeman improved his catch and shoot ability from behind the 3-point line and had a great month of June with Africentric, playing next to Dailyn Swain Dailyn Swain 6’7″ | SF Africentric | 2023 State #81 Nation OH . I expect a big Junior season for Freeman as the Nubians will compete for a state championship in 2022-23.
Blanton made the move from Trotwood Madison to Middletown and has a chance to compete against talented guards game in and game out in the GMC this winter. Blanton improved his stock with a great performance at Flyin To The Hoop last season and earned his first Division I offer from Radford. It’ll be interesting to see how Blanton improves a Middletown program that has been building some momentum in recent seasons and looking to take the next step.
