A list of some top GameChangers from Sunday at the Top 250 Expo!
Jamari Gamble Jamari Gamble 6'3" | SG Milwaukee Riverside | 2023 State WI — SF — Riverside University
Gamble was one of the biggest stock risers from Wisconsin’s Top 250 Expo. The small forward checks a lot of boxes. He can score well in the isolation, play solid defense, and convert on catch-and-shoot jumpers. Playing for Riverside University this upcoming high school season, look for Gamble to turn some heads and shoot up the rankings.
Avery Houden Avery Houden 6'5" | SF Middleton | 2024 State WI — SF — Middleton
Houden embodied what a GameChanger truly is. The 6-foot-4 small forward was all over the place on Sunday. He made some impressive plays on both ends of the court. The Middleton prospect started off the day by grabbing some rebounds and playing tough defense. Then, the SF stepped outside and displayed his sweet shooting stroke. Houden was able to make the defense respect his jumper by draining outside shots.
Darius Chesnut — PG — Sun Prairie
Chesnut has the potential to be something special this season at Sun Prairie. It was impossible to miss the point guard on Sunday. In one sequence, Chesnut made an athletic layup at the rim. Then shortly after, the PG was able to tally a big-time block at the rim. Chesnut has all of the physical tools necessary for success. If he continues to round out his skillset, I think that the PG could be a name for college coaches to know.
Michael McNabb Michael McNabb 6'4" | CG Grafton | 2024 State WI — SG — Grafton
McNabb may have been the best overall prospect in the gym on Sunday. The Grafton shooting guard just makes things look so easy. Around the rim, McNabb is an elite finisher. He does a really good job of contorting his body and finishing tough layups. From distance, McNabb is also very good. On Sunday, the SG was knocking down triples with ease.
Mason Prey Mason Prey 6'4" | CG Newman Catholic | 2023 State WI — SG — Newman Catholic
Prey isn’t the flashiest or most exciting prospect, but he certainly gets the job done. I love how Prey always plays at his own pace. The shooting guard can’t be rushed. It doesn’t matter what opposing defenders try to do to him, Prey always just takes what the defense gives him. He can score from all three levels and is very good as a defender.
Antwan Burns-Jones Antwan Burns-Jones 6'2" | SG Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI — SG — Catholic Memorial
I wouldn’t be surprised if Jones emerged as stock riser this high school season for Catholic Memorial. The 2023 shooting guard is very explosive when attacking the rim. He possesses a lot of athletic ability. I thought that Jones was also able to showcase his skills as a defender on Sunday afternoon. I look forward to watching Jones compete this winter.
