Nearly 200 of the top Class of 2026 prospects in the state took part in the event with a ton of area scouts and AAU coaches taking in all of the action. Our team at Prep Hoops Indiana including myself, Kyler Staley, and Landon Bundy will be putting out an evaluation of every single prospect in attendance throughout the course of this week. Let’s dive on into breaking down the prospects on Team 19.
This 6’2″ guard from Whiteland High School was one of the best pure shooters at the showcase on Sunday. Gardner has a long, athletic frame with a very quick release and appeared to be an absolutely knockdown catch-and-shoot threat.
Highlights
A bigger wing for his age at 6’3″, Shaw displayed good overall offensive skills throughout the event. He can handle the ball like a guard, showed a soft shooting touch, and has the size to finish around the basket. Good looking long term prospect from Crown Point.
Ferguson performed very well on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. The 5’8″ point guard from Zionsville is a skilled offensive player with a sweet outside stroke and a variety of intermediate finishes. Really like his all-around game.
Johnson is an athletic, quick 5’8″ point guard with good playmaking ability in the open floor. He proved to be dangerous in transition throughout the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase on Sunday. He’s a three-point shooting threat as well.
This 5’9″ point guard from Bowman Academy showed off his straight line quickness with the ball in transition and his shiftiness in the half court as well. Pollard plays well off of the ballscreen and showed the ability to make any pass on the floor.
LaFary shoots it well from the perimeter, can create for himself off of the bounce, and finishes around the basket well at the end of his drives. Good showing for the 5’9″ point guard from Martinsville at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.
