Nearly 200 of the top Class of 2026 prospects in the state took part in the event with a ton of area scouts and AAU coaches taking in all of the action. Our team at Prep Hoops Indiana including myself, Kyler Staley, and Landon Bundy will be putting out an evaluation of every single prospect in attendance throughout the course of this week. Let’s dive on into breaking down the prospects on Team 16.
Reber is a very intriguing long-term prospect with an excellent physical build. A long, lanky 6’4″ athlete, he has guard like skills on the perimeter to go with his size to score at the rim. He looked very comfortable attacking closeouts and finishing in transition on Sunday.
You can’t teach 6’9″, especially for a freshman in high school. Harbin has the obvious physical size, but also showcases a soft touch with his right over his left shoulder in the post. He is good as the roll man with good hands and feet inside. Protects the rim defensively. Definitely a name to remember at Bishop Noll. ***Note: He signed up for the camp, but did not participate in the showcase on Sunday. He is one of the top prospects in the class. This evaluation is based on having seen him in the summer.
Hostetter is a true floor general with all the tools you would want in your lead ball handler. He has a tight handle, plays without turning it over, and can make any pass on the floor. He controls the pace well in transition and can penetrate consistently in the half court.
A super quick, smaller point guard, Bennett showed his ability to compete with the best on Sunday. The 5’6″ guard was a creative finisher at the rim and in the intermediate range and displayed good court vision throughout the event. Solid floor general out of Richmond High School.
Tricker is a quick 5’8″ point guard that showed off his ability to initiate the offense, control the pace, and play without turning it over. The Danville product had a solid showing at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. All-around skilled guard.
A 6’0″ versatile wing, Petrie showed good footwork on the perimeter and a smooth shooting stroke on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Petrie can also drive it in a straight line against closeouts and uses his athleticism to finish around the basket. Solid prospect.
This athletic 6’0″ guard really knows how to play. Gray showed off a high basketball IQ, great ball handling ability, and a soft shooting touch. He is a true point guard with high level ball skills that allow him to get into the paint and finish. Good looking prospect.
A versatile 6’0″ wing, Aterburn can play multiple positions in the backcourt and is switchable defensively as well. The Heritage Christian prospect handled the ball well on Sunday and showed off a smooth shooting stroke from the perimeter.
