The article had familiar names from the Omaha/Lincoln Metro area that shined bright on the court. In this article, I will cover some lesser-known names that made a strong impression and should get on your watchlists for the coming season.
Elgin jumped out to me in the first game I watched. His hustle and ability to play bigger than his size was impressive. He had a knack for finding loose balls and was strong in the paint, playing through contact and rebounding. Elgin has good length and knows how to use it on the defensive end to challenge shots without fouling. All in all, he brings his lunch pail, hard hat and just goes to work, challenging you to outwork him.

After a solid summer, Brown has caught the eye of us scouts and on Sunday he put his full package on display. Opponents had a difficult time staying in front of Brown who persistently attacked the rim and finished with touch. He showed off his jump shot hitting from range and became a vocal leader for his team. Brown really enjoyed talking on the court to anyone who would listen, but he backed it up and really seemed to have fun. Which was enjoyable to watch. With a talented 2022 Warrior class now graduated, Brown will have an opportunity to show his worth.
Highlights
https://twitter.com/ColtonS00908499rnMaybe not a lesser known in the South Dakota area, but a lesser known to me, Smith was extremely impressive on Sunday. He is terrific wing player who has above average leaping ability and a high basketball IQ. Smith seemed to be involved in every play on the court, attacking, rebounding, making terrific cuts to the basket and just all out hustle. His game is very adaptable to whomever he plays with. He communicates well on the court, recognizing holes in the moment or planning for the next offensive possession. Smith demonstrated a ton of skill and seemed to be a complete basketball player. Mitchell Senior has a top-level talent for the years to come.
