The new top player in Kansas, Shetlar had a monster spring and summer racking up mid-major division offers left and right from great programs and has committed to Indiana State. The long and lengthy elite shooter turned heads constantly and put up huge performances on the UA Circuit. Deadly from behind the three point line in all game scenarios and has elevated his playmaking ability with the ball to a really good level. Should be the catalyst to help lead a great Andover team on a run this year.
The big time athlete from Highland Park takes a big jump after earning some MIAA and Low to Mid Major offers this spring and summer. Played with multiple travel programs throughout the run but made an impact wherever he was playing. Has the tools to be a lockdown wing defender and slasher at the next level, and showcased that during his Bradley Beal EYBL run. Really explosive athlete down the court and up at the rim, Aldridge should be the “Top Dawg” for a really good HP team entering a new Leaague.
Highlights
Another explosive wing player who earned Low to Mid Major and multiple MIAA offers this spring and summer. Ruud gets off the floor with quickness, burst, and power, showcasing them all throughout the grassroots run with SSA. Also a 40+ 3 point shooter and come come off screens, pop off setting screens, or hit off drive and kicks. At 6’6 with his athletic ability, is a really versatile player.
Hawthorne is a big riser from the grassroots run and with a monster high school season that is predicted, will be another big leaper in the next update as well. A great lead guard with poise, play making, shot making, and defensive ability. Really good decision maker off ball screens and can get to the mid range pull up game and is efficient from there. The St James guard can also score it well in the paint.
Wing does his thing both on the football field and the basketball court. His athletic versatility is what pops here with him, and with a bunch of Miege departures has a chance to take the reins of this program with PJ McCallop and really increase his production across the board. Can be a big time rebounder, shot maker, and slasher.
The long and athletic wing earned a couple of really solid offers this spring and summer and has a ton of athletic upside to him. Harris and Shetlar will make an extremely long and rangy wing pairing for Andover with Harris being that lockdown versatile defender who can get out and run, finish above the rim, block shots, and attack the rim.

Hastings will be making the move from Solomon to Salina South with will be an intriguing move to see how he gels and fits in with a really good South team which will be fun to watch progress. Hastings gets a nice little jump here after rolling with a couple travel programs this spring and summer and logging a bunch of games. The point guard gets down hill well, finishes with both hands with an array of finishes, can get hot from 3 in flurries, and is a good playmaker attacking off the bounce finding guys for easy shot opportunities.
Brandl racked up a ton of recognition this last high school season and was really impressive in each outing this spring and summer and continued to catch scouts eyes. He is another name to watch rise here throughout the high school season. Brandl has a little bit of everything in the tool chest from his passing, rebounding on both ends, catch and shoot ability, and can score it in the paint. Is a nice versatile player who can create matchup problems.
The scoring guard continues to elevate his stock and earned a couple of solid NAIA offers and a Newman offer this spring and summer. A guy who works really hard in the offseason and has garnered that recognition with multiple scouts and outlets. Can score it off the jumper from the mid range and from three, is a microwave scorer, plays with great pace, and continues to get better as a defender.
Highlights
A massive riser this spring and then really sprung out this summer, shooting it at a high level at a little over 50% from three in four events in July. A strong guard with a good frame, Steinmetz plays with great poise and confidence and can shoot it off the catch or off a one dribble pull up. Got much better attacking and scoring off drives as well and is an underrated passer and rebounder.
Highlights
Continues to become more than just a top tier shooter and has developed the overall point guard game throughout the spring and summer. Really gifted passer off driving the ball and kicking to guys, knows how to dump it off to cutters in traffic, gets it when kicking the ball ahead to wing runners, and the handle has gotten tighter. Another guard here with a chance to continue rolling up the board.
