There is still plenty of content coming this week on the website recapping all the action from the Top 250, but we want to go ahead and start diving into some “way too early” previews of the upcoming Indiana High School Basketball season. It is hard to look at the Class 4A landscape and not still consider defending state champion Cathedral the favorite heading into the season. Michigan State commit Xavier Booker Xavier Booker 6'11" | PF Cathedral | 2023 State #4 Nation IN is back, Jake Davis Jake Davis 6'6" | SF Cathedral | 2023 State IN and Jaron Tibbs Jaron Tibbs 6'4" | SF Cathedral | 2023 State IN are other seniors who were major contributors a year ago, and a couple of incoming transfers will provide an influx of talent. However, many will point to Ben Davis as arguably the best team on paper with their impressive depth of talent at every position. When looking at other contenders, Penn will have an excellent group led by Notre Dame commit Markus Burton Markus Burton 5'11" | PG Penn | 2023 State #190 Nation IN and Kokomo obviously has the most dominant player in the state with 6’9″ Flory Bidunga Flory Bidunga 6'9" | C Kokomo | 2024 State #7 Nation IN who led them to semi-state a year ago.
